Իրանի խորհրդարանը կարծում է, որ անհրաժեշտ է փակել Հորմուզի նեղուցը: Վերջնական որոշումը պետք է հաստատի Ազգային անվտանգության խորհուրդը, կիրակի օրը հայտարարել է Իրանի խորհրդարանի Ազգային անվտանգության և արտաքին քաղաքականության հանձնաժողովի անդամ Իսմայիլ Քուսարին։

«Խորհրդարանը եկել է այն եզրակացության, որ Հորմուզի նեղուցը պետք է փակվի, սակայն այս հարցի վերաբերյալ վերջնական որոշումը կկայացնի Ազգային անվտանգության խորհուրդը», - մեջբերում է նրա խոսքերը Press TV-ն։

Հիշեցնենք՝ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել է, որ երկրի ռազմաօդային ուժերը հարվածել են Իրանի երեք միջուկային օբյեկտների: Նրա խոսքով՝ ռմբակոծությանը մասնակցած ինքնաթիռներից մեկը «ռումբերով լի  բեռ» է նետել Ֆորդոյի ուրանի հարստացման ստորգետնյա գործարանի վրա: 

Ֆորդոյի հետ մեկտեղ հարվածի են ենթարկվել Նաթանզի և Սպահանի օբյեկտները: Այսպիսով, ԱՄՆ-ն միացել է Իսրայելի կողմից Իրանի դեմ ռազմական գործողությանը:

Հորմուզի նեղուցը գտնվում է Հնդկական օվկիանոսի հյուսիս-արևմտյան մասում և Պարսից ծոցը կապում է Օմանի և Արաբական ծովերի հետ։ Հյուսիսային ափը պատկանում է Իրանին, իսկ հարավայինը՝ ԱՄԷ-ին և Օմանին։

Հորմուզի նեղուցը ռազմավարական նշանակություն ունի ինչպես տարածաշրջանի երկրների ռազմական անվտանգության, այնպես էլ համաշխարհային առևտրի տեսանկյունից։

Առաջինը բացատրվում է նրանով, որ այս համեմատաբար նեղ ծովային ճանապարհը միակ անցումն է դեպի Պարսից ծոց ինչպես ռազմական, այնպես էլ կոմերցիոն նավերի համար։

Նեղուցի տնտեսական նշանակությունը հիմնված է նրանով, որ դրանով է անցնում Մերձավոր Արևելքից արտահանվող էներգիայի զգալի մասը։

Նեղուցի ամբողջ հյուսիսային ափը Իրանի տարածքն է, որը մեծապես վերահսկում է այս ջրային ճանապարհը։
