Փաշինյանի Թուրքիա այցը նշանավորվեց Հայաստանում ընդդիմության կողմնակիցների զանգվածային ձերբակալություններով, խուզարկություններով և հերթական ապօրինություններով։ Երեկ, ցերեկն արդեն «Սրբազան պայքար» շարժումը հայտարարեց, որ Հայաստանի տարբեր վայրերում ոստիկանությունը զանգվածային ձերբակալություններ է սկսել։ Վերջնական թիվը նույնիսկ այս պահին պարզ չէ, բայց ակնհայտ է, որ 5 տասնյակից ավելի մարդկանց ձերբակալել, տեղափոխել են ոստիկանական բաժանմունքներ։

Ներքին գործերի նախարարությունը հայտարարել է, թե օպերատիվ տվյալներ են ստացել հասարակական կարգի խաթարմանն ուղղված գործողությունների նախապատրաստման վերաբերյալ։ «Ոստիկանությունն իրականացնում է ուժեղացված ծառայություն, ինչի շրջանակում ձեռնարկում են կանխարգելիչ-բացատրական աշխատանքներ, կոչ ենք անում պահպանել հասարակական կարգը, ցանկացած հակաօրինական դրսևորում արժանանալու է կոշտ հակազդման»,- սպառնացել են ՆԳՆ-ից, բայց փաստացի իրենց իսկ հայտարարությամբ ապացուցելով, որ ապօրինություններ են գործում։

Ի վերջո, բոլոր ձերբակալվածներին ազատ են արձակել, իսկ ոստիկանությունում հարցադրումներ են արել զանգվածային անկարգությունների և այլ բողոքի գործողությունների նախապատրաստման վերաբերյալ, ինչն, իհարկե, առնվազն անհեթեթ է։

Ընդդիմությունը, բոլոր պատճառներն ունի Փաշինյանի դեմ բողոքի գործողություններ սկսելու, հատկապես Թուրքիա այցելելու և հայկական շահերը հերթական անգամ զիջելու ֆոնին։ Բայց Փաշինյանն էլ այս ձերբակալություններով նպատակ ուներ հենց թուրքական կողմին համոզելու, որ իբր պինդ տղա է և կարողանում է վերահսկել իրավիճակը Հայաստանում։ Ըստ ամենայնի, հենց դա են նրանից պահանջում թուրքական իշխանությունները։
