Հունիսի 19-ին Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցին նշեց Սուրբ Հովհաննես Կարապետի և Սուրբ Աթանագինե եպիսկոպոսի տոնը, որը նաև Վաղարշապատի Սուրբ Շողակաթ վանքի ուխտի օրն է:

Սուրբ Հովհաննես Մկրտչի և Աթանագինե եպիսկոպոսի մասունքներն ամփոփող խաչ-մասունքարանն առավոտյան Մայր Աթոռից Սուրբ Շողակաթ վանք տարվեց եկեղեցականների հանդիսավոր թափորով:

Թափորը մինչև Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի կամար գլխավորեց Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը՝ մասունքարանով օրհնելով բարեպաշտ ժողովրդին:

Այնուհետև սրբազան մասունքները Նորին Սրբությունը փոխանցեց Մայր Աթոռի Սուրբ Էջմիածնի լուսարարապետ Հոգեշնորհ Տ. Անանիա վարդապետ Ծատուրյանին:

Սուրբ Շողակաթ վանքի առջև թափորը դիմավորեցին բազմաթիվ ուխտավորներ` Մայր Աթոռի Վանորեից տեսուչ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Արտակ եպիսկոպոս Տիգրանյանի գլխավորությամբ:

Տոնի կապակցությամբ վանքում մատուցվեց Սուրբ և Անմահ Պատարագ: Պատարագիչն էր Սուրբ Շողակաթ վանքի վանահայր Հոգեշնորհ Տ․ Արիս աբեղա Տոնոյանը։
