NYP: Трамп боится превращения Ирана во «вторую Ливию»

Президент США Дональд Трамп откладывает окончательное решение о военной операции против Ирана, опасаясь, что ситуация в стране может перерасти в хаос по образцу Ливии. Об этом сообщает The New York Post (NYP) со ссылкой на источники.

По словам собеседников издания, Трамп неоднократно упоминал события 2011 года в Ливии как нежелательный сценарий развития ирано-израильского конфликта. Один из источников уточнил, что президент не хочет повторения ситуации, в которой военное вмешательство США привело к дестабилизации страны и смене режима.

Помимо этого, Трамп, по данным издания, вспоминал примеры Ирака и Афганистана, где военные операции обернулись затяжным присутствием американских сил и внутренними кризисами.

Накануне журналистка телеканала Fox News Джеки Хайнрик со ссылкой на чиновников Белого дома сообщила, что Вашингтон не исключает применение тактического ядерного оружия для нанесения удара по иранскому подземному объекту по обогащению урана в Фордо.
