Դիզայներական խաղալիքների համեստ աշխարհը անսպասելիորեն ծնունդ է տվել Չինաստանի նորագույն միլիարդատերերից մեկին՝ շնորհիվ Լաբուբու կերպարի զարմանալի ժողովրդականության:

Pop Mart-ի գործադիր տնօրեն Վան Նինգը կտրուկ ընդգրկվել է Չինաստանի ամենահարուստ մարդկանց տասնյակում՝ ցույց տալով, որ նույնիսկ «կույր արկղի» ներսում գտնվող մշակութային երևույթները կարող են աստղաբաշխական շահույթ բերել, հաղորդում է Hypebeast-ը։

Pop Mart-ը, որը հիմնադրվել է Վան Նինգի կողմից Պեկինում՝ 2010 թվականին, սկզբում եղել է բազմաբրենդային մանրածախ առևտրով զբաղվող ընկերություն։ Սակայն իրական առաջընթացը տեղի ունեցավ այն բանից հետո, երբ ընկերությունը կենտրոնացավ իր սեփական բնօրինակ կերպարների ստեղծման և առաջխաղացման վրա և սկսեց դրանք վաճառել «կույր տուփի» ձևաչափով, որտեղ գնորդը չգիտի, թե որ կերպարը կստանա։ Մոդելը համատեղում է անակնկալի տարրը, խաղային մեխանիկան և հավաքորդության ոգին՝ ստեղծելով գրեթե կախվածություն առաջացնող փորձառություն Z սերնդի և չափահաս երկրպագուների համար։

Թեև Pop Mart-ն ունի մի շարք հայտնի կերպարներ, սակայն իրական աստղ է դարձել Լաբուբուն՝ հոնկոնգցի նկարիչ Կասինգ Լանգի կողմից ստեղծված չարաճճի, ատամնավոր արարած՝ սուր ականջներով։ 2019 թվականին լիցենզիա ստանալուց ի վեր, Labubu-ի ժողովրդականությունը խելահեղ աճել է՝ անցյալ տարի հասնելով նոր բարձունքների։

«Լաբուբումանիան» բացատրվում է միանգամից մի քանի գործոններով՝ հիշարժան «խելոք-տգեղ» ոճը, սահմանափակ հավաքածուները և համաշխարհային հայտնիների հզոր աջակցությունը։ LISA-ն, Էմմա Ռոբերտսը, Դուա Լիպան, Ռիհաննան և ուրիշներ իրենց առօրյա կերպարներում պարբերաբար ներկայացնում են Լաբուբույին, ինչը ակնթարթորեն մեծացնում է պահանջարկը։

Արդյունքը Pop Mart-ի եկամտի և շուկայական արժեքի պայթյունային աճն է։ 2024 թվականին ընկերության զուտ շահույթն աճել է 188%-ով, իսկ ընդհանուր վաճառքը կրկնապատկվել է՝ հասնելով 13 միլիարդ յուանի (մոտավորապես 1.8 միլիարդ ԱՄՆ դոլարի): Հատկապես տպավորիչ է «Հրեշներ» ֆրանշիզայի, որը ներառում է նաև «Լաբուբու»-ն, աճը տարեկան կտրվածքով կազմել է 726.6%։ Սա նրան դարձրեց Pop Mart-ի եկամտի հիմնական աղբյուրը։

Այս ֆինանսական խթանման շնորհիվ Վան Նինգի զուտ կարողությունը գերազանցել է 20 միլիարդ ԱՄՆ դոլարը, ինչը նրան դարձնում է Չինաստանի ամենահարուստ մարդկանցից մեկը և երկրի ամենաերիտասարդ միլիարդատերը։
