Նիդեռլանդներն արագացնում են անցումը «կանաչ» էներգիայի. 2024 թվականին սպառված ընդհանուր էներգիայի գրեթե 20 %-ը (ավելի ճիշտ՝ 19.8 %) բաժին է ընկել վերականգնվող աղբյուրներին: Համեմատության համար՝ 2023 թվականին այդ մասնաբաժինը կազմել է 17.4 %, իսկ հինգ տարի առաջ՝ 10 %-ից պակաս: Աճն ապահովվել է նոր ծովային հողմակայանների և տրանսպորտում կենսավառելիքի մասնաբաժնի ավելացման շնորհիվ:

Ընդհանուր առմամբ, երկիրը սպառել է 358 պետաջոուլ (PJ) «կանաչ» էներգիա: Հիմնական աղբյուրներն են՝ կենսազանգված (121 PJ), հողմային էներգիա (116 PJ) և արևային էներգիա (78 PJ): Վերականգնվող էներգիայի գրեթե 60 %-ը օգտագործվել է էլեկտրաէներգիա արտադրելու համար, մնացածը՝ ջեռուցման/հովացման և տրանսպորտի համար:

Հողմային էներգիան հատկապես աչքի է ընկել. տարեկան աճը կազմել է 20 %՝ շնորհիվ Հյուսիսային ծովում տեղադրված նոր կայանների: Կենսավառելիքը նույնպես թափ է հավաքել. մասնավորապես, կենսադիզելի ծավալը կրկնապատկվել է՝ հասնելով 25 PJ-ի: Իսկ արևային էներգիան մի փոքր դանդաղել է՝ վահանակների փոքր քանակի և արևի պակասի պատճառով:

Կանխատեսումների համաձայն՝ այս միտումը միայն կուժեղանա. ԵՄ-ի խիստ բնապահպանական նորմերը և խթանները Նիդեռլանդներին մղում են դեպի ավելի մաքուր էներգիայի աղբյուրներ: Այսպիսով, եթե երեկ «կանաչ» էներգիան դեռ ապագայի գաղափար էր թվում, այսօր այն արդեն ամուր տեղ է գրավել Նիդեռլանդների վարդակներում:
