Հունիսի 8-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց Ավստրալիայի և Նոր Զելանդիայի հայոց թեմից ժամանած ուխտավորներին՝ ուղեկցությամբ Մելբուռնի Սուրբ Աստվածածին եկեղեցու հոգևոր հովիվ Արժանապատիվ Տեր Խաչեր քահանա Հարությունյանի:

Տեր Խաչեր քահանան Նորին Սրբությանը տեղեկացրեց, որ մինչև Հայաստան ժամանելը ավստրալահայերն ուխտավորաբար եղել են Արևմտյան Հայաստանում և այժմ, գտնվելով հայրենիքում, այցելել են Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածին՝ ստանալու Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի հայրական օրհնությունը:

Վեհափառ Հայրապետը, իր օրհնությունը փոխանցելով հայորդիներին, գոհունակությամբ անդրադարձավ Ավստրալիայի հայ համայնքի հայրենանվեր ու եկեղեցասեր կյանքին: Նորին Սրբությունը նկատեց, որ աշխարհասփյուռ հայոց թեմերից նման ուխտագնացությունների կազմակերպումը հայրենիքի համար դժվարին այս օրերին գոտեպնդում է հայրենաբնակ իրենց եղբայրներին ու քույրերին: Այս առնչությամբ Հայոց Հայրապետը հորդորեց ներկաներին, որ իրենց այցի շրջանակներում նաև հանդիպումներ ունենան հայրենազրկված արցախցիների հետ՝ ի մոտո ծանոթանալով նրանց առջև ծառացած մարտահրավերներին և իրենց աջակցությունն ու զորակցությունը բերելով նրանց։

Վերջում Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն ուխտավորներին մաղթեց, որ Աստված մշտապես պահի ու պահպանի նրանց Իր սիրո և խնամքի ներքո:
