Ծնողների համար ավելի ծանր փորձություն չկա, քան երեխայի կորուստը: Ցավոք, այդպիսի ճակատագիր էր նախատեսված Հեզեր Կլարկի համար: Նրա յոթ ամսական տղան առողջ և ուրախ երեխա էր, բայց սարսափելի իրադարձությունը խլեց նրա կյանքը: Չնայած իր բոլոր տառապանքներին՝ վշտահար մայրը կարողացավ շատ կարևոր որոշում ընդունել:
Կինն իր համաձայնությունը տվեց, որ իր փոքրիկի օրգաններն օգտագործվի բժշկական, դոնորական նպատակներով:
4-ամյա Ջորդան Գոնսալեսի համար Հեզերի որոշումը փրկություն դարձավ: Փոքրիկն իր ողջ կյանքը հիվանդանոցներում է անցկացրել՝ բնածին սրտի արատի պատճառով: Աղջկա համար միակ ելքը սրտի փոխպատվաստումն էր:
