Эстония прекращает переговоры с РФ по навигации на Нарве

Эстония прекращает переговоры с Россией об установке навигационных буев по фарватеру реки Нарва и намерена ужесточить контроль в пограничной зоне путем задействования ресурсов Европейского агентства пограничной и береговой охраны (Frontex). Об этом сообщило министерство иностранных дел республики.
«Мы решили прекратить переговоры с Россией по поводу навигационных буев», - говорится в сообщении. В МИД утверждают, что РФ якобы отказалась проводить совместные работы по уточнению фарватера реки. «Этим летом мы увеличим количество патрулей в этом районе, чтобы быстрее реагировать на незаконные пересечения границы», - приводит МИД слова представителя Департамента полиции и погранохраны Эстонии Вейко Коммуссаара. По его оценке, сотрудники Frontex «помогут обеспечить безопасность на реке Нарва».
Вопрос определения фарватера стал актуальным после возникновения разногласий относительно размещенных в водах реки буев. По сообщениям эстонских СМИ, в мае 2024 года РФ сняла 25 фарватерных буев, установленных Эстонией в российских водах.
