Եթե դու քո երեխային խաբում ես, որ մեկին գումարած մեկ հավասար է չորս, դրանից իրականությունը չի փոխվում. քո երեխան դպրոցում ստանում է անբավարար գնահատական, իսկ իր միջավայրում նրա վրա բոլորը ծիծաղում են։ Եթե նույնիսկ դու համոզում ես կամ կաշառում ես ուսուցչին, որպեսզի նա համարի, որ այո՛, մեկին գումարած մեկ հավասար է չորսի, դրանից դարձյալ իրականությունը չի փոխվում, այլ՝ այդ ուսուցիչը ևս դառնում է ծաղրի առարկա։
 
Նույն կերպ, երբ դու քո երեխային սեփական ժողովրդի պատմությունը սխալ ես դասավանդում կամ խաբում ես քո երեխային, նրան կեղծ և խեղաթյուրված պատմություն հրամցնելով, դարձյալ իրականությունը չի փոխվում, և քո երեխան, ընդամենը պատմությունից տգետ լինելով, գործում է սխալներ, որի արդյունքում տուժում է քո երեխայի պետականությունը։ Քո երեխան կարող է կորցնել իր պետությունը, ինչպես օրինակ՝ կորցրեցինք Արցախը։ Քո երեխան կարող է ենթարկվել ցեղասպանության, ինչը մենք ունեցանք 1915 թվականին և դրանից առաջ։ Եվ արդյունքում, քո երեխային սխալ և խեղաթյուրված պատմություն սովորեցնելով՝ նրա ապագան դնում ես կործանման առջև։
 
Ամեն անգամ, Մայիսի 28-ին՝ Հայաստանի Առաջին Հանրապետության օրը, ես հիշում եմ, առաջին հերթին, որ չի կարելի զբաղվել ինքնախաբեությամբ, չի կարելի սեփական երեխաներին ու ապագա սերունդներին խեղաթյուրված և կեղծ պատմություն հրամցնել, քանզի դա բերում է մեծագույն ողբերգությունների, համազգային, համաժողովրդական տրագեդիաների։ Եվ այսօր ևս ես կցանկանայի, որպեսզի մենք՝ որպես ժողովուրդ, ևս մեկ անգամ հիշենք, որ ինքնախաբեությամբ զբաղվելը բերելու է կործանման, որ չի կարելի սեփական սխալները քողարկելու և ճշմարտությունը չասելու փոխարեն՝ փորձել սեփական սխալները բարդել այլ ժողովուրդների և ազգերի վրա, արդյունքում սեփական երեխաներին ու ապագան դնել կասկածելի և վտանգավոր տեսլականի առջև։
 
Հուսով եմ՝ մենք դասեր կքաղենք Առաջին Հանրապետության հայ ղեկավարների աշխարհաքաղաքական կոպիտ սխալներից, կամ դրանք կկրկնենք նույնությամբ հիմա՝ ունենալով, ցավոք, նույն արդյունքը, ինչը ունեցել ենք Առաջին Հանրապետության տարիների վերջում։
