Արցախի Հանրապետության պատգամավոր Մետաքսե Հակոբյանը լրագրողի հետ զրույցում նշեց, որ պատմության դասերը պետք է սովորենք ու հասկանանք, որ ոչինչ ավարտված չէ։ «Պետք է հասկանանք, որ դավաճանությամբ չէ, որ այսօր պետք է զրկված լինենք ու զրկված մնանք մեր հայրենիքն ունենալու հնարավորությունից։ Այս հաղթանակը և մայիսի 28-ի տոնակատարությունը վառ ապացույցն է նրա, որ, այո՛, նույնիսկ ամենածանր ու անելանելի թվացող իրավիճակներից ելք կա»,-ասաց նա։
Արցախցի պատգամավորը նշեց, որ թեև անկախությունից հետո հայոց պետականությունն ընդամենը 2 տարի տևեց և 1920 թվականին Խորհրդային Միությունը օկուպացրեց՝ ինքնիշխանությունից զրկելով ՀՀ-ն, բայց 71 տարի անց Հայաստանը նորից կարողացավ հռչակվել որպես ազատ անկախ հանրապետություն։
«Այնպես որ, ոչինչ էլ ավարտված չէ։ Սա չի նշանակում, որ վաղը հենց հաղթական երգերով Արցախում ենք լինելու, բայց սա ցուցադրությունն է նրա, որ ժողովուրդը երբեք չպետք է հանձնվի, և իշխանությունները չեն որոշում՝ ժողովուրդն ինչպես պետք է ապրի և ինչպես պետք է հայրենիք ունենա»,-ասաց նա։
