Իսրայելի անկախության 77-ամյակի կապակցությամբ և Հայաստան-Իսրայել հարաբերությունների խորացման նպատակով այսօր Երևանում անցկացվել է դիվանագիտական երեկույթ՝ Հայաստանում Իսրայելի դեսպան Ժոել Լիոնի ու Իսրայելի պատվավոր հյուպատոս Աշոտ Շախմուրադյանի համատեղ ջանքերով։
Իսրայելի դեսպանն իր ելույթում անդրադարձել է հայ–իսրայելական հարաբերություններին՝ ընդգծելով, որ երկու երկրների միջեւ համագործակցության իրական հնարավորություն կա։
«77 տարի առաջ չնայած բոլոր փորձություններին, հրեա ժողովուրդը հառնեց աքսորի եւ ոչնչացման մոխիրներից՝ վերագտնելու իր ինքնիշխանությունն իր հայրենիքում։ Այս դժվար ժամանակներում մենք նաեւ ուժ ենք գտնում ամբողջ աշխարհում մեր ունեցած բարեկամանական կապերից եւ այդ բարեկամների շարքում է Հայաստանը։ Թեեւ մեր երկկողմ հարաբերությունները դեռեւս զարգացման փուլում են եւ ոչ առանց բարդությունների, ես համոզված եմ, որ համագործակցության իրական հնարավորություն կա։ Միշտ չէ, որ մենք համակարծիք ենք, բայց միշտ էլ կարող ենք խոսել իրար հետ եւ խոսելը կարեւոր է։ Մեր երկու ժողովուրդները, լինելով հինավուրց ազգեր եւ պատմականորեն ենթարկվելով հալածանքների, գիտեն՝ ինչ է նշանակում գոյատեւել՝ չնայած բոլոր փորձություններին, եւ ինչ է նշանակում պայքարել ինքնության, արժանապատվության եւ ազատության համար։ Հենց սա է հիմք ձեւավորում փոխադարձ հարգանքի համար»,– ասաց Ժոեյ Լիոնը։
Նշենք, որ դեսպանատան կազմակերպած միջոցառմանը Կառավարությունից ներկա էր աշխատանքի եւ սոցիալական հարցերի նախարար Նարեկ Մկրտչյանը, ՔՊ խմբակցությունից Արմեն Խաչատրյանը, Հայաստանում ՌԴ, ԱՄՆ, Ֆրանսիայի դեսպանները, ԵՄ պատվիրակության ղեկավարը։
Միջոցառմանը ներկայացվել է նաեւ 2023թ․ հոկտեմբերի 7-ին սկսված պատերազմի թեմայով կապսուլային ցուցադրություն՝ բաղկացած 43 պատկերից։
