Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտում տեղի ունեցավ ավստրիացի լրագրող, նախկին դիվանագետ, մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Բիրգիտ Քոֆլեր-Բեթշարթի «ԵՍ ՍՊԱՆԵՑԻ, ԲԱՅՑ ԵՍ ՄԱՐԴԱՍՊԱՆ ՉԵՄ. ՀԱՅՈՑ ՑԵՂԱՍՊԱՆՈՒԹՅՈՒՆԸ, ԶՈՀԵՐԻ ՎՐԵԺԸ և ՆԵՄԵՍԻՍ ԳՈՐԾՈՂՈՒԹՅՈՒՆԸ» գրքի շնորհանդեսը: Գիրքը 20-րդ դարի ամենաարտասովոր և գաղտնի առաքելություններից Նեմեսիս գործողության մասին է, որի թիրախում հայտնվեցին Հայոց ցեղասպանության` անպատիժ մնացած կազմակերպիչներն և իրականացնողները։

Գրքում ներկայացված են այդ գործողության բոլոր հայտնի մասնակիցների ճակատագրերը: Շնորհանդեսին ներկա էին Նեմեսիս գործողության մասնակիցների ժառանգները, պատգամավորներ, պատմաբաններ, գրողներ հասարակական, մշակութային գործիչներ և այլք:

ՀՑԹԻ տնօրեն Էդիտա Գզոյանը, ողջունելով ներկաներին նշեց, որ Նեմեսիս գործողությունը մեզ՝ հայերիս համար ունի համազգային նշանակություն, և հետաքրքիր է օտարերկրացու աչքերով նոր լույսի ներքո ծանոթանալ այս խիստ կարևոր գաղտնի գործողության մանրամասներին, ապա շեշտեց, որ Նեմեսիս գործողությունը նաև միջազգային իրավունքի զարգացման վրա է մեծ ազդեցություն ունեցել, մասնավորապես՝ ցեղասպանություն տերմինը ստեղծած Ռաֆայել Լեմկինը ուսանողական տարիներին հետևել է Սողոմոն Թեհլիրյանի դատավարությանը և հենց այդ ժամանակից սկսած ուսումնասիրել է մարդկության դեմ իրականացված հանցագործությունները, ինչն էլ հանգեցրել է ինչպես տերմինի ստեղծմանը, այնպես էլ ՄԱԿ-ի կողմից 1948 թ. Ցեղասպանության հանցագործությունը կանխելու և պատժելու մասին կոնվենիցայի ընդունմանը: Թեև կոնվենցիայում շեշատադրված են կանխարգելման և պատժի գործառույթները, ցավոք, հաճախակի ականատես ենք դառնում, որ դրանք չեն գործում, ինչպես եղավ Արցախի պարագայում:

Հեղինակ Բիրգիտ Քոֆլեր-Բեթշարթը նշեց, որ գիրքը գերմաներենով լույս է տեսել անցած տարի և նպատակ է ունեցել գերմանախոս երկրներում բարձրացնել Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին իրազեկվածությունը: Այցելելով Հայաստան և հետազոտություն իրականացնելով Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարանում՝ նրա մոտ միտք է առաջացել գիրքը նաև հայերեն թարգմանելու: Նա նշեց, որ նպատակ է ունեցել ցույց տալու, թե ինչ է պատահում, երբ խոշորագույն հանցագործությունները՝ ցեղասպանությունները, մնում են անպատիժ:

Շնորհանդեսին ելույթներով հանդես եկան նաև գրքի նախապատրաստման գործում մեծ ավանդ ունեցած ՀՑԹԻ-ի գլխավոր ֆոնդապահ Գոհար Խանումյանը, Պոտսդամի Յոհաննես Լեփսիուսի տուն-արխիվի գիտաշխատող Հայկ Մարտիրոսյանը և Արտաշես Գևորգյանի եղբոր թոռը՝ Արմեն Գևորգյանը:
