2025 թվականի մայիսի կեսերը նշանավորվեցին արևային ակտիվության կտրուկ աճով։ Փորձագետները նկատել են Արեգակի վրա նոր մեծ պսակային անցք։ Արեգակնային քամու հոսքերը սովորաբար շարժվում են մոտ 400 կմ/վ արագությամբ, սակայն այժմ դրանց արագությունը հասել է 700 կմ/վրկ-ի։ Սա կտրուկ մեծացնում է ուժեղ մագնիսական փոթորկի հավանականությունը, որը կարող է ազդել զգայուն մարդկանց առողջության վրա:
