Որպես, թերևս, ամենաթանկարժեք նվեր, որը երբևէ արվել է Միացյալ Նահանգներին օտարերկրյա կառավարության կողմից, ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի վարչակազմը պատրաստվում է Քաթարի թագավորական ընտանիքից ընդունել գերշքեղ Boeing 747-8 jumbo ռեակտիվ ինքնաթիռը՝ նվեր, որը հասանելի կլինի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի օգտագործման համար որպես նոր Air Force One ինքնաթիռ մինչև 2020 թվականը, ընդհուպ մինչև նրա պաշտոնից հեռանալը, հայտնում է ABC News-ը՝ հղում անելով աղբյուրներին։

Ինքնաթիռի սեփականության իրավունքը կփոխանցվի Թրամփի նախագահական գրադարանի հիմնադրամին, ABC News-ին են հայտնել առաջարկվող համաձայնագրին ծանոթ աղբյուրները։ Ակնկալվում է, որ նվերի մասին կհայտարարվի հաջորդ շաբաթ, երբ Թրամփը կայցելի Քաթար՝ իր երկրորդ նախագահական ժամկետի ընթացքում առաջին արտասահմանյան այցի շրջանակներում, հայտնում են ծրագրերին ծանոթ աղբյուրները։

Թրամփը զննել է ինքնաթիռը, որն այնքան շքեղ է ձևավորված, որ ստացել է «թռչող պալատ» անվանումը, երբ այն փետրվարին կայանված էր Ուեսթ Փալմ Բիչի միջազգային օդանավակայանում։

Աղբյուրները հայտնել են ABC News-ին, որ Սպիտակ տան իրավախորհրդատուի գրասենյակի և Արդարադատության նախարարության իրավաբանները վերլուծություն են պատրաստել պաշտպանության նախարար Փիթ Հեգսեթի համար, որում եզրակացրել են, որ Պաշտպանության նախարարության համար օրինական է ինքնաթիռն ընդունել որպես նվեր, ապա այն փոխանցել Թրամփի գրադարանին, և որ դա իրականում չի խախտում կաշառակերության դեմ պայքարի օրենքները կամ սահմանադրական արգելքը (վարձատրության մասին կետը), որն արգելում է ԱՄՆ ցանկացած կառավարական պաշտոնյայի նվերներ ընդունել «որևէ  թագավորից, արքայազնից կամ օտարերկրյա պետությունից»։

Աղբյուրները հայտնել են ABC News-ին, որ գլխավոր դատախազ Փեմ Բոնդին և Սպիտակ տան գլխավոր իրավաբան Դեյվիդ Ուորինգթոնը եզրակացրել են, որ «իրավաբանորեն թույլատրելի» կլիներ, եթե ինքնաթիռի նվիրատվությունը պայմանավորված լիներ մինչև Թրամփի լիազորությունների ժամկետի ավարտը նախագահական գրադարանի սեփականությանը փոխանցելով, համաձայն նրանց որոշմանը ծանոթ աղբյուրների։

Աղբյուրները հայտնել են, որ Բոնդին անցյալ շաբաթ Սպիտակ տան իրավախորհրդատուի գրասենյակին ուղղված իրավաբանական հուշագիր է ներկայացրել այն բանից հետո, երբ Ուորինգթոնը խորհուրդ էր հարցրել նրանից Պենտագոնի կողմից նման նվեր ընդունելու օրինականության վերաբերյալ։
