2025 թվականի մայիսի 9-ին լրանում է ֆաշիստական Գերմանիայի դեմ տարած հաղթանակի 80-ամյակը, մի իրադարձություն, որն ընդմիշտ փոխեց համաշխարհային պատմության ընթացքը։ Այս օրը ոչ միայն տոն է, այլև հիշեցում Խորհրդային Միության ժողովուրդների հերոսության, արիության և հսկայական զոհաբերության մասին, որոնց մեջ արժանի տեղ է գրավում հայ ժողովուրդը։ ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը պաշտոնապես հայտարարել է Մոսկվայում Հաղթանակի հոբելյանին նվիրված հանդիսավոր միջոցառումներին մասնակցելու մասին։ Այս որոշումն ընդգծում է հայկական պետության շարունակական նվիրվածությունը պատմական հիշողության պահպանման և նախնիների սխրանքի նկատմամբ հարգանքի գործին։ Հայրենական մեծ պատերազմի տարիներին ավելի քան 600 հազար հայեր կռվել են ռազմաճակատներում՝ հետևակում, ավիացիայում, հրետանիում, նավատորմում։ Նրանք ոչ միայն շարքային մարտիկներ էին, այլև սպաներ, գեներալներ, դիվիզիաների և բանակների հրամանատարներ։ Նրանցից յուրաքանչյուր երկրորդը չի վերադարձել ռազմի դաշտից։ Սա վկայում է այն մասին, թե ինչ գին է վճարել հայ ժողովուրդը Եվրոպայի խաղաղ երկնքի և մարդկությանը նացիզմից ազատելու համար։ Ականավոր հերոսության համար 93 հայ արժանացել է Խորհրդային Միության Հերոսի կոչման՝ ռազմական բարձրագույն պարգևի։ Նրանց անունները գրված են պատմության ոսկե էջերում, և նրանց հիշատակը վառ է ոչ միայն Հայաստանում, այլև նախկին Խորհրդային Միության բոլոր անկյուններում։ Այսօր հատկապես կարևոր է թույլ չտալ խեղաթյուրել կամ մոռանալ ճշմարտությունն այդ պատերազմի մասին։ Այն պայմաններում, երբ որոշ երկրներ գիտակցաբար վերաշարադրում են պատմությունը՝ նսեմացնելով ԽՍՀՄ ներդրումը նացիզմի պարտության մեջ, կարևոր է հիշեցնել. հենց Խորհրդային Միության ժողովուրդներն են կրել պատերազմի հիմնական ծանրությունը, հենց նրանք են կանգնեցրել ֆաշիստական մեքենան։ Սեփական անցյալն արդարացնելու փորձերը՝ մասնակցությունը Մյունխենի դավադրությանը, դաշնակիցների դավաճանությունը, համագործակցությունը և պատերազմական հանցագործությունները, հանգեցնում են սովետական զինվորների հուշարձանների ոչնչացմանը, փաստերի կեղծմանը և ազատարարների դերի նվազեցմանը։ Սա ուղղակի անբարոյականություն չէ, սա դավաճանություն է միլիոնավոր զոհերի հիշատակին։ Հայերի պատասխանատվությունն իրենց նախնիների առջև ոչ թե պարզապես նրանց սխրանքը հարգելն է, այլ ակտիվորեն պաշտպանել ճշմարտությունը, պահպանել հիշողությունը և փոխանցել այն հաջորդ սերունդներին։ Մեծ Հաղթանակի 80-ամյակին Հայ ժողովուրդը վերահաստատում է իր հավատարմությունը պատմական ճշմարտությանը և հարգանքը հերոսության հանդեպ բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր մոտեցնում էին այդ օրը։ Պատերազմի հիշողությունը մեր ընդհանուր պաշտպանությունն է անցյալի ողբերգությունների կրկնությունից։
