ՀՀ ԿԳՄՍ նախարարությունից հայտնում են.

«Վշտով հայտնում ենք, որ 89 տարեկանում կյանքից հեռացել է ՀՀ ԳԱԱ ակադեմիկոս, Երևանի պետական համալսարանի նախկին ռեկտոր, ԳԱԱ նախկին նախագահ Ռադիկ Մարտիրոսյանը: Նա իր երկարամյա գործունեությամբ անգնահատելի ներդրում է ունեցել Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում բարձրագույն կրթության և գիտության ոլորտների զարգացման գործում։

Ակադեմիկոս Ռադիկ Մարտիրոսյանը ծնվել է 1936 թվականին ԼՂԻՄ Մարտակերտի շրջանի Մատաղիս գյուղում։ Ավարտել է ԵՊՀ ֆիզիկամաթեմատիկական ֆակուլտետը՝ աստղաֆիզիկոսի որակավորմամբ, ապա ԽՍՀՄ ԳԱ Մոսկվայի Պ. Լեբեդևի անվան ֆիզիկայի ինստիտուտի ասպիրանտուրան։

Աշխատանքային գործունեությունը սկսել է 1958-1960 թվականներին՝ որպես ՀԽՍՀ ԳԱ Բյուրականի աստղադիտարանի կրտսեր գիտաշխատող, ապա աշխատել է ՀԽՍՀ ԳԱ ռադիոֆիզիկայի և էլեկտրոնիկայի ինստիտուտում՝ որպես ավագ գիտաշխատող, լաբորատորիայի բաժնի վարիչ, զբաղեցրել գիտական աշխատանքների գծով փոխտնօրենի և տնօրենի պաշտոնները։

1980 թվականին Ռադիկ Մարտիրոսյանը ստացել է դոկտորի գիտական աստիճան, իսկ 1982 թվականին նրան շնորհվել է պրոֆեսորի կոչում։ 1986 թվականին ընտրվել է ՀԽՍՀ ԳԱ թղթակից անդամ, 1990 թվականին՝ ակադեմիկոս։

Ռադիոֆիզիկայի և էլեկտրոնիկայի ինստիտուտում աշխատանքին զուգահեռ՝ 1965 թվականից դասավանդել է ԵՊՀ-ում՝ 1983-1993 թվականներին հանդիսանալով ԵՊՀ-ում իր նախաձեռնությամբ ստեղծված գերբարձր հաճախությունների ֆիզիկայի ամբիոնի վարիչ։ 1993-2006 թվականներին զբաղեցրել է ԵՊՀ ռեկտորի պաշտոնը։

2006-2021 թվականներին հանդիսացել է ԳԱԱ նախագահ՝ միաժամանակ շարունակելով աշխատանքը ԵՊՀ-ում՝ որպես ԳԲՀ ռադիոֆիզիկայի և հեռահաղորդակցության ամբիոնի վարիչ, ինչպես նաև ԵՊՀ-ում գործող գիտական աստիճաններ շնորհող մասնագիտական խորհրդի նախագահ։ 2016 թվականից Ռուսաստանի գիտությունների ակադեմիայի արտասահմանյան անդամ է, 2021 թվականից՝ ՀՀ ԳԱԱ նախագահության գլխավոր խորհրդական։ Հեղինակ է ավելի քան 200 գիտական աշխատանքների։

Պարգևատրվել է «Պատվո նշան», Ժողովուրդների բարեկամության, Սուրբ Մեսրոպ Մաշտոցի, «Հայրենիքին մատուցած ծառայությունների համար»1-ին աստիճանի շքանշաններով, ինչպես նաև ԵՊՀ մեդալով, Իտալիայի նախագահի, Ֆրանսիայի կառավարության և այլ շքանշաններով:

ԿԳՄՍ նախարարությունը ցավակցում է ակադեմիկոս Ռադիկ Մարտիրոսյանի ընտանիքին, հարազատներին, գործընկերներին և Հայաստանի գիտական համայնքին։ Նրա գիտակրթական անուրանալի ժառանգությունը վառ կմնա Հայաստանի գիտության և բարձրագույն կրթության պատմության մեջ։

Տեղեկացնում ենք, որ ակադեմիկոս Ռադիկ Մարտիրոսյանի հուղարկավորությունը կազմակերպելու նպատակով ՀՀ Վարչապետի որոշմամբ կստեղծվի կառավարական հանձնաժողով։
