Արցախի հերոս Դավիթ Առուշանյանի մայրը՝ Լիդա Առուշանյանը, գրում է․ «Արցախում, Հայաստանի որոշ մարզերում էլ ամեն տարի մայիսի 2-ին մարդիկ գերեզմաններ էին/են գնում։ Օրը պատահական չէր. խորհրդային տարիներին, երբ կրոնն ու եկեղեցական տոներն արգելված էին, մարդիկ իրենց Մեռելոցը Մայիսի 1-ի տոնից հետո էին դրել։ Այդպես պահպանվում էր ավանդույթներն ու կրոնը՝ սովետական անաստվածության տարիներին։

Այսօր արցախահայությունը հնարավորություն չունի այցելելու իրենց հարազատների շիրիմներին… 1000 տարվա մեջ առաջին անգամ այդ հնարավորությունից էլ ենք զրկված։

Գնացեք Եռաբլուր, գնացեք քաղաքային զինվորական պանթեոններ։ Այնտեղ բոլորը մեր տղաներն են, բոլորն Արցախի համար իրենց կյանքը տված ու Արցախի մի մասնիկը դարձած։

Նրանք այնտեղ են որպես լռուն սյուներ, որոնց վրա հենվում է մեր հիշողությունը, մեր ինքնությունը, մեր արժանապատվությունը։

Ամեն այց Եռաբլուր ու զինվորական պանթեոններ պիտի լինի ոչ միայն սգի ու հարգանքի քայլ, այլև մեր համազգային երդումը՝ երբեք չմոռանալու, երբեք չդավաճանելու, երբեք չզիջելու ու չներելու։

Քանի դեռ կանգնած մեր տղաների շիրմաքարերը, մենք իրավունք չունենք ծնկելու։ Մենք պետք է շարունակենք կերտել այն հայրենիքը, որի համար նրանք զրկվեցին ամենաթանկից՝ իրենց կյանքից։ Ու հիշեք՝ Արցախը միայն տարածք չէ։ Արցախը նրանք են։ Արցախը մենք ենք։ Արցախը սրբացած հիշողություն է, որ չի կարելի թողնել գերության մեջ»։
