В Лос-Анджелесе и Нью-Йорке прошли акции протеста против политики администрации Дональда Трампа

Толпы протестующих прошли сегодня маршем по центру Лос-Анджелеса, некоторые из них несли плакаты с призывом к правительству вернуть Килмара Абрего Гарсию обратно в США.
Как сообщает CNN, организаторы движения «50501», сокращенно от «50 протестов, 50 штатов, 1 движение», в ответ на шквал действий администрации президента США Дональда Трампа за первые 100 дней ее правления объявили о протестах по всей стране.
В Нью-Йорке первая за этот день первомайская акция протеста была вызвана несколькими различными причинами: скандированием «Свободная Палестина», плакатами, призывающими освободить Махмуда Халиля, и более типичными надписями о правах трудящихся, такими как «Трамп: руки прочь от наших профсоюзов».
Многие несли плакаты с требованием к Иммиграционной и таможенной полиции США «убраться из наших сообществ» и прекратить акцент администрации Трампа на депортациях.
Группа из примерно 150 человек прошла маршем чуть более 20 кварталов от начальной точки на Юнион-сквер до Нью-Йоркской публичной библиотеки, где митинг завершился возле знаменитых львов на ступенях главного входа.
