Մինչ Հայաստանի գործող իշխանությունները և նրանց առընթեր արևմտամետները փորձում են համոզել, թե Հայաստանը գնում է դեպի Եվրամիություն, որտեղ նրան իբր սպասում են, եվրոպական առաջատար պարբերականներն ու վերլուծաբանները պարզ և բացահայտ Հայաստանին և հայ ժողովրդին հասկացնում են, որ Եվրոպայում ավելի շատ սպասում են ադրբեջանական նավթին, քան Հայաստանի չեղած ժողովրդավարությանը։ «Պոլիտիկո» պարբերականում, Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Լորդերի պալատի անդամ և Հայաստանի հարցերով խորհրդարանական խմբի փոխնախագահ լորդ Մարկ ՄըքՔինեսը քննադատել էր ԵՄ արտաքին քաղաքականության ղեկավար Կայա Կալասին, ով նախընտրել էր այցելել Ադրբեջան, այլ ոչ թե հարևան Հայաստան։

Կալասն առաջիկայում նաև Հայաստան է այցելելու, կեղծ ժպիտներով կանգնելու է գործող իշխանությունների կողքին, փորձելու են հայ հանրությանը համոզել, թե նրան սպասում են Եվրոպայում։ «Դուք այցելում եք Բաքվի ավտորիտար ռեժիմ և խուսափում եք Երևանի ժողովրդավարությունից։ Մինչդեռ Ադրբեջանը մերժում է մեր արժեքները, Հայաստանը մոտենում է Եվրամիությանը»,- գրել էր Բունդեսթագի նախկին անդամ Միխայիլ Ռոթը։

Իսկ բրիտանացի պատգամավորը նշում է, թե Հայաստանը, Հայաստանի իշխանությունները կատարել են Եվրոմիության և Արևմուտքի բոլոր պահանջները, խնդրելով ԵՄ-ին օգնել իրեն, մինչ նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի օրոք Ադրբեջանը դարձել է ավտոկրատիայի գլխավոր տարը, որտեղ իշխանությունը կենտրոնացած է մեկ ընտանիքի ձեռքում, այլախոհությունը ճնշվում է։ Բաքուն էլ միջազգային ասպարեզում իրեն անամոթաբար և ագրեսիվ է պահում, տեղահանելով Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի էթնիկ բնակչությանը։

Բայց եվրոպական անվտանգությունն ու արժեքները դրվում են մի կողմ՝ հանուն ադրբեջանական նավթի, հանուն տնտեսական այսրոպեական շահերի, և հենց սա է եվրոպական երկերեսանությունն ու երկակի ստանդարտներով առաջնորդվելը։ Կհասկանա՞ արդյոք Հայաստանը, թե ինչ նոր աղետ են իր գլխին պատրաստում սեփական իշխանությունն ու նրա արևմտյան տերերը, կկարողանա ոտքի կանգնել, թե կբախվի նոր աղետի։
