Glubux մականունով օգտատերը պատմել է, որ ութ տարի շարունակ իր տունն ապահովում է էլեկտրականությամբ՝ օգտագործելով հազարավոր դեն նետած նոութբուքերի մարտկոցներ և արևային մարտկոցներ, գրում է devby.io–ն։ Էնտուզիաստի խոսքով 2016 թվականին նա որոշել էր իր տան համար ստեղծել էներգիայի  մատակարարման լիովին ինքնավար համակարգ։ Սկզբում համակարգը ներառում էր հիմնական 1,4 կՎտ հզորությամբ արևային մարտկոցը, հին 24 Վ 460 Ա լարման բեռնատարի կուտակման մարտկոցը, լիցքավորման կարգավորիչները և 3 կՎԱ–ոց ինվերտորը:

Հետագայում այդ համակարգի կենտրոնական տարր են դարձել նոութբուքերի մարտկոցները: Մինչ հին համակարգչային մարտկոցները շատերի կողմից աղբ են համարվում, Glubux-ը դրանք դիտել է որպես լիովին անկախ և վերականգնվող էներգիայի աղբյուր ստեղծելու հնարավորություն: Ժամանակի ընթացքում Glubux-ը շարունակել է ավելացնել ավելի ու ավելի շատ նոոթբուքերի մարտկոցներ: Նրա համակարգը շուտով վերածվել է ինքնուրույն համակարգի, որը բաղկացած է եղել 650 մարտկոցից: Այդ աճը պահանջում էր առանձին պահեստ կառուցել, որը գտնվում էր նրա տնից մոտ 50 մետր հեռավորության վրա՝ մարտկոցները, լիցքավորման նոր կարգավորիչները և ինվերտորները պահելու համար:

Glubux-ը սկզբում բախվել է որոշ դժվարությունների: Մարտկոցի լիցքաթափման արագությունն անհավասար էր՝ օգտագործվող մարտկոցների բջիջների տարբերության պատճառով, ինչի պատճառով որոշ բջիջներ ավելի արագ էին լիցքաթափվում, քան մյուսները: Այնուամենայնիվ, լուծում է գտնվել վերադասավորելով և կարգավորելով բջիջները, որպեսզի բլոկներն ավելի արդյունավետ աշխատեն:

Ըստ Glubux-ի, ութ տարվա շահագործման ընթացքում ոչ մի մարտկոցի փոխարինում չի պահանջվել: Բացի այդ, նա տարիների ընթացքում կատարելագործել և ընդլայնել է իր արևային վահանակների համակարգը: Արևային մարտկոցների համակարգն այժմ ներառում է 24 արևային մարտկոց՝ յուրաքանչյուրը 440 Վտ հզորությամբ, ինչը նրան թույլ է տալիս բավականաչափ էներգիա արտադրել նույնիսկ ամենացուրտ ու ոչ արևոտ ամիսներին։
