Սևակ Գրիգորյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
2004թ. փետրվարի 4-ին առաջին անգամ սկսել է գործել Facebook սոցցանցը, այն ստեղծվել Մարկ Ցուկերբերգի կողմից։ . Փետրվարի 4-ին լրանում է Facebook-ի 12-րդ տարելիցը: Facebook-ը ստեղծել է այն ժամանակ դեռևս ուսանող ամերիկացի ծրագրավորող Մարկ Ցուկերբերգը: Ցանցի անվանումը ձևավորվել է բոլոր աշակերտների և անձնակազմի նույն անունների ցուցակից, ովքեր եղել են Phillips Exeter ակադեմիայում: Ավելի ուշ Ցուկերբերգը որոշել է նման նախագիծ իրականացնել Հարվարդի համալսարանում, սակայն ուսումնական հաստատության վարչակազմի կողմից մերժում է ստացել: Սակայն Ցուկերբերգին որևէ խոչընդոտ չէր կարող կանգնեցնել, և նա որոշ ժամանակ անց կոտրեց Հարվարդի համալսարանի տվյալների բազան և շուտով ստեղծեց Facemash ինտերնետ-պորտալը: Տվյալների բազայի կոտրումը մեծ աղմուկ բարձրացեց: Որոշ ժամանակ Ցուկերբերգի մասին ոչինչ հայտնի չէր: Սակայն 2004-ի փետրվարի 4-ին Հարվարդի համալսարանի այն հանրակացարանի սենյակը, որտեղ ապրում էր Մարկը, թողարկվեց նոր, այն ժամանակ դեռևս քիչ հայտնի Facebook սոցցանցի նախագիծը: Ցանցի ստեղծման հարցում Մարկին օգնել են Դասթին Մոսկովիցը, Քրիս Հյուզը և Էդուարդո Սավերինը: Շուտով ցանցում հայտնվեցին առաջին օգտահաշիվները, իսկ որոշ ժամանակ անց ռեսուրսը դարձավ Հարվարդի ուսանողների շփման հիմնական միջոցը: Այսօր արդեն Facebook-ն ամենախոշոր սոցցանցն է աշխարհում, որտեղ գրանցված է ավելի քան 500 մլն օգտատեր՝ երկրագնդի բոլոր կետերից: Այսօր արդեն Ֆեյսբուքի մաքուր եկամուտը կազմում է 8-9 մլրդ դոլար:
