Հարավային Կորեայի գիտնականները շաքարեղեգից ջրածնի արտադրության նոր եղանակ են մշակել, վառելիք, որը համարվում է նոր սերնդի էներգիայի աղբյուր:
Հետազոտության արդյունքները հրապարակվել են Nature Communications գիտական հանդեսում։
Այս նոր տեխնոլոգիան օգտագործում է արևային էներգիան և անսպասելի աղբյուր՝ շաքարեղեգի թափոնները: Հետազոտությունը նկարագրում է նոր ֆոտոէլեկտրաքիմիական համակարգ՝ կիրառելով շաքարեղեգի թափոններից ստացվող արժեքավոր քիմիական նյութը՝ ֆուրֆուրոլը:
«Այս նորարարական եղանակն օգտագործում է շաքարեղեգի թափոններից և սիլիցիումի ֆոտոէլեկտրոդներից ստացված կենսազանգվածը՝ H2 արտադրելու համար՝ բացառապես արևի լույսի միջոցով՝ հասնելով չորս անգամ ավելի բարձր արտադրողականության, քան ԱՄՆ էներգետիկայի նախարարության սահմանած առևտրայնացման մակարդակը»,-ասված է Ուլսանի Գիտության և տեխնոլոգիաների ազգային ինստիտուտի հայտարարության մեջ:
Ջրածինը (H2) համարվում է նոր սերնդի վառելիք, քանի որ այն մաքուր է այրվում և ջերմոցային գազեր չի արտանետում: Բացի դրանից, այն օժտված է բենզինից 2,7 անգամ ավելի գնահատվող էներգիայի կուտակման բարձր խտությամբ:
Սակայն արտադրվող H2-ի մեծ մասը ստացվում է բնական գազից, որն արտանետում է գլոբալ տաքացմանը նպաստող մեծ քանակությամբ ածխաթթու գազ: Այս խնդիրները լուծելու համար գիտնականների թիմը էկոլոգիապես մաքուր ֆոտոէլեկտրաքիմիական H2 արտադրության համակարգ (PEC) ստեղծեց:
Այս նորարարական համակարգում արևի լույսն աջակցում է երկկողմանի գործընթացին: Պղնձի էլեկտրոդներից մեկի վրա ֆուրֆուրոլն օքսիդացվում է՝ առաջացնելով ջրածին։
Հետաքրքիր է, որ այս ռեակցիան նաև արժեքավոր կողմնակի արտադրանք՝ ֆուրոնաթթու է արտադրում:
Միևնույն ժամանակ ջուրը տրոհվում է մեկ այլ սիլիցիումի ֆոտոէլեկտրոդի վրա, որի արդյունքում ջրածին է առաջանում։
Այս կրկնակի արտադրության մեխանիզմը դրանց անհավատալի արդյունավետության բանալին է: Ջրածնի արտադրության արագությունն այս համակարգում կազմում է ժամում 1,4 մմոլ/քառակուսի սանտիմետր:
