Մեր բանակցությունների երկրորդ փուլի ընթացքում, որը տևել է ավելի քան չորս ժամ, դրական առաջընթացի ենք հասել մեր ուղղակի և անուղղակի քննարկումներում։ Ինչպես հաղորդում է CBS News-ը՝ այս մասին իրանական կողմի հետ հանդիպումներից հետո ասել է ամերիկացի պաշտոնյաներին:
«Այսօր Հռոմում, մեր բանակցությունների երկրորդ փուլի ընթացքում, որը տևել է ավելի քան չորս ժամ, դրական առաջընթացի ենք հասել մեր ուղղակի և անուղղակի քննարկումներում։ Մենք պայմանավորվել ենք կրկին հանդիպել հաջորդ շաբաթ և երախտապարտ ենք մեր օմանցի գործընկերներին այս բանակցությունները կազմակերպելու համար, ինչպես նաև մեր իտալացի գործընկերներին՝ այսօր մեզ հյուրընկալելու համար», - ասել է նա։
Հիշեցնենք, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները և Իրանը շաբաթ օրը Հռոմում անցկացրել են բանակցությունների երկրորդ փուլը,ԱՄՆ-ի հատուկ բանագնաց Սթիվ Ուիտկոֆը Հռոմի Կամիլուչա շրջանում՝ Օմանի դեսպանատանը, հանդիպել է Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Աբաս Արաղչիի հետ: Բանակցությունները տեղի են ունեցել Օմանի արտգործնախարար Բադր ալ Բուսաիդիի միջնորդությամբ։
