Մոսկվայում Մեծ հաղթանակի շքերթին Հայաստանի մասնակցությունը գրեթե հաստատված է: Թեպետ ավելի վաղ եվրոպական դիվանագիտության ղեկավար Կայա Կալասը զգուշացրել էր, որ Ռուսաստանում անցկացվող միջոցառումներին մասնակցությունը ողջունելի չէ, Հայաստանի իշխանությունները, մեր տեղեկություններով, որոշել են ռիսկի չդիմել և, ամեն դեպքում, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի մակարդակով մասնակցել Մեծ հաղթանակի միջոցառումներին։ 

Ընդ որում, ուշագրավ է, որ Կալասի անհեթեթ զգուշացումից հետո Եվրահանձնաժողովը հայտարարել է, որ Մոսկվայում Հաղթանակի շքերթին մասնակցելու համար պետությունների և կառավարությունների ղեկավարներին պատժելն իր իրավասությունների մեջ չէ։ Այս հայտարարությունն արվել է Սլովակիայի վարչապետ Ռոբերտ Ֆիցոյի որոշումից հետո։ Սլովակիայի վարչապետը նշել է, թե մասնակցելու է Մոսկվայում կայանալիք շքերթին։ 

Ցանկացած պարագայում, որքան էլ Եվրոպայում և նաև Հայաստանում հաստիքային արևմտամետներն աղմկում են` պահանջելով չմասնակցել Մոսկվայի շքերթին, կամ էլ ավելի ցածր մասնակցությամբ ներկայանալ Կիև` Արևմուտքին չգրգռելու համար, Փաշինյանի այս որոշումը գոնե փաստարկված է և եզակի ողջամիտ քայլերից մեկն է։ 

Ընդ որում, ուշագրավ է, որ այս ֆոնին ռուսական մամուլում որոշակի տեղեկություններ են հայտնվել, թե Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարները կարող են խաղաղության պայմանագիր կնքել հենց մայիսի 9-ին, Մոսկվայում։ «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ի հետ զրույցում նման կարծիք է հայտնել ազգամիջյան հակամարտությունների հարցերով փորձագետ Եվգենի Միխայիլովը։ Ուշագրավն այստեղ այն է, որ նման տեղեկություն հայտնվում է ռուսական առաջատար պետական լրատվամիջոցում։ Փաստացի, Ռուսաստանն այս հայտարարությամբ կրկին ձեռնոց է նետում Արևմուտքին և փորձում ավելացնել իր ազդեցությունը Հարավային Կովկասում։ Արդյոք կողմերը կհամաձայնվե՞ն Մոսկվայում ինչ-որ փաստաթուղթ ստորագրել, դեռևս վաղ է խոսել, սակայն Փաշինյանի կողմից Մոսկվայում նման պայմանագրի ստորագրումը կարող է Եվրոպայում դիտվել որպես նրա երկրորդ հակաարևմտյան քայլ։
