ԱՄՆ-ն և Իրանը կարող են հեշտությամբ համաձայնության գալ Օմանի բանակցություններում, եթե Վաշինգտոնի միակ պահանջը լինի միջուկային զենքի մշակումից Թեհրանը հրաժարումը: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ը տեղեկանում է ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությունից, այդ մասին Սերբիայի ռադիոհեռուստաընկերությանը տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարության քաղաքական հարցերով փոխղեկավար Մաջիդ Թախտ Ռավանչին։

«Ամերիկացիներն ասում են, թե Իրանը չպետք է միջուկային զենք ունենա: Մենք համառորեն կրկնում ենք, որ մեզ չի հետաքրքրում միջուկային զենքը: Այնպես որ, եթե ամերիկացիների միակ պահանջը լինի, որ Իրանն ատոմային զենք չունենա, մենք նոր համաձայնագիր կունենանք», – նշել է Թախտ Ռավանչին:

Իրանցի դիվանագետի խոսքով՝ եթե Օմանում բանակցությունների բոլոր մասնակիցները «քաղաքական կամք ունենան», ապա հնարավոր կլինի հասնել նոր համաձայնության։

«Բայց եթե ինչ-որ մեկը ցանկանա բանակցություններում այլ բաներ ներառել և դրանով իսկ բարդացնել աշխատանքը, մենք հաջողության չենք հասնի», – ընդգծել է պաշտոնյան։

Իրանի և ԱՄՆ-ի պատվիրակությունների միջև խորհրդակցությունների առաջին փուլը տեղի կունենա ապրիլի 12-ին Օմանում։ Հիմնական բանակցողները կլինեն Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Աբբաս Արաղչին և ԱՄՆ նախագահի հատուկ պատվիրակ Սթիվեն Ուիթքոֆը։ Իրանական կողմը հայտարարել է, որ բանակցությունները կանցկացվեն անուղղակի, մինչդեռ Վաշինգտոնում պնդում են, որ դրանք կլինեն ուղիղ բանակցություններ։
