Израиль расширяет зону военных операций в секторе Газа

Министр обороны Израиля Исраэль Кац объявил о расширении операций Армии обороны Израиля (ЦАХАЛ) в секторе Газа, пишет The Times of Israel.
Кац заявил, что целью является зачистка ряда районов «от террористов и их инфраструктуры, захват обширной территории, которая будет добавлена к зонам безопасности государства Израиль», говорится в сообщении.
Он также призвал жителей сектора «выступить сейчас, чтобы свергнуть ХАМАС и вернуть всех заложников».
Кроме того, издание сообщает со ссылкой на палестинцев, что израильские сухопутные силы начали действовать в некоторых частях города Рафах на юге анклава.
В минувший понедельник ЦАХАЛ предупредил жителей Рафаха и близлежащих районов о необходимости покинуть эту зону, рекомендовав перебраться в палаточные лагеря в прибрежной гуманитарной зоне Муваси.
18 марта в ЦАХАЛ сообщили о возобновлении массированных ударов по принадлежащим группировке ХАМАС объектам в секторе Газа. В ХАМАС в свою очередь заявили, что израильское правительство своим решением возобновить боевые действия подвергает опасности жизни остающихся в секторе израильских заложников.
