Ապրիլի 1-ին Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածին այցելեց Հայաստան պաշտոնական այցով ժամանած Գերմանիայի Դաշնային Հանրապետության նախագահ Ֆրանկ-Վալտեր Շտայնմայերը: Հայտնում են Մայր Աթոռի Տեղեկատվական համակարգից։

Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը նախագահ Շտայնմայերին և նրա մեծազնիվ տիկին Էլկե Բուդենբենդերին ողջունեց Միածնաէջ Մայր Տաճարում՝ ներկայացնելով Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցու և Սուրբ Էջմիածնի մեծ դերակատարությունը հայ ժողովրդի ազգային ու քրիստոնեական ինքնության կերտման գործում և նրա կարևոր ազգապահպան առաքելությունը։

Նորին Սրբությունը հաստատեց, որ պատմության ընթացքում հայ ազգն իր հավատքի զորությամբ և առ Աստված ապավինությամբ է դիմագրավել նեղություններն ու փորձությունները, Տեր և Փրկիչ Հիսուս Քրիստոսի նմանությամբ հաղթահարել բազում գողգոթաներ՝ այդ թվում 20-րդ դարասկզբին իր նկատմամբ իրականացված ցեղասպանությունը։ Հայոց Հովվապետը հույս հայտնեց, որ նույն հավատքով և ամուր կամքով հայ ժողովուրդը կհաղթահարի վերջին տարիներին հայրենիքին պատուհասած փորձությունները և ներկա ծանր մարտահրավերները։

Նկատի առնելով այն, որ Գերմանիայի նախագահը մեկնելու է նաև Ադրբեջան՝ Վեհափառ Հայրապետը խնդրանքով դիմեց պրն․ Ֆրանկ-Վալտեր Շտայնմայերին՝ Բաքվում բարձրաձայնելու Արցախի ժողովրդի արդար իրավունքների, ինչպես նաև հայ ռազմագերիների ազատ արձակման, հայկական հոգևոր-մշակութային ժառանգության պահպանության հիմնախնդիրները։ Նորին Սրբության խոսքի համաձայն, առկա հարցերի հետևողական բարձրաձայնման շնորհիվ վերջիններիս արդար հանգուցալուծմամբ միայն հնարավոր պիտի լինի տարածաշրջանում կայուն խաղաղություն հաստատել և ժողովուրդների խաղաղ գոյակցության պայմաններ ստեղծել։

Գերմանիայի նախագահ Շտայնմայերը, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով Նորին Սրբություն Գարեգին Երկրորդ Կաթողիկոսին քրիստոնեական հնագույն սրբավայր այցելելու հնարավորության համար, կարևորեց կրոնների դերակատարությունը ժողովրդների կյանքում խաղաղության և համերաշխության ապահովման գործում։ Պրն․ Շտայնմայերը հավաստիացրեց Հայոց Հայրապետին, որ իր միջնորդական ջանքերը կգործադրի ի նպաստ տարածաշրջանում վերջնական խաղաղության հաստատման։

Այնուհետև Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Գերմանիայի Դաշնային Հանրապետության նախագահի հետ միասին Իջման Սուրբ Սեղանի առջև աղոթք բարձրացրեցին առ Աստված աշխարհում խաղաղության և մարդկության բարօր ու ապահով կյանքի համար։

Վերջում նախագահը Գերմանիայի Հայոց թեմի առաջնորդ Տ․ Սերովբե եպիսկոպոս Իսախանյանի ուղեկցությամբ շրջեց Մայր Տաճարում, ծանոթացավ հիմնանորոգված սրբավայրի պատմությանը։
