Օդաչուն և նրա մանկահասակ դուստրերը ողջ են մնացել սառած լճի մեջտեղում՝ ինքնաթիռի թևի վրա 12 ժամ անցկացնելուց հետո:

Գոդեսը շարժվել է դեպի Տուստումենա լճի սառցադաշտի ուղղությամբ և նկատել է օդանավի բեկորները:
«Սիրտս կոտրվեց, երբ տեսա բեկորները, բայց երբ ավելի մոտեցա, նկատեցի, որ թևի վրա երեք մարդ կա: Շարունակեցի մոտենալ, և հրաշք էր՝ նրանք կենդանի էին, արձագանքում էին և շարժվում»,- The Associated Press-ին տված հարցազրույցում պատմել է նա:
