Ես միշտ մնում եմ այն կարծիքին, որ որևէ երկրի դրոշի այրումը խոսում է այդ այրվող դրոշի երկրի հաղթանակի մասին: Այլ հարց է դրոշը ոտնատակ տալ ու անարգել, այլ հարց է՝ այրել: Ես երբ տեսնում եմ, որ այրում են մեր Եռագույնը մի տեսակ հպարտություն եմ զգում: Այո՛, հպարտություն, որովհետև այլ ելք չունեն, այլ կերպ չեն կարող վերաբերվել մեր երկրի հետ, և ինչ-ինչ ճանապարհներով իրենց ձեռքում հայնտված մեր դրոշն են այրում:
Երբ մենք ամեն տարի ապրիլի 23-ին այրում ենք Թուրքիայի դրոշը դա պարզապես ժեստ է աշխարհին ուղղված, որով, փորձ ենք անում ի ցույց դնել մեր սերունդենրի վերաբերումքը առ այն, որ ոչինչ չի մոռացվել: Բայց արի ու տես ազեռբառանում, երբ երեք- չորս հոգի հավաքվում են մեկ վայրում, մի քիչ կոկոնները տաքացնում են ու մեր դրոշի գույներով կարված ինչ-որ կտոր են վառում , տեսագրում այդ պրոցեսը և դնում համացանցում ՝ էդպես իրենցից հերոսներ կերտելով: Եթե վառելու ենք ՝ ուրեմն թուրքի տները, մզկիթները ու դրանց սերունդը...
