«Վերջին 35 տարվա ընթացքում առաջին անգամ Հայաստանի մշտական բնակչության պաշտոնական թիվը 3 միլիոնից ցածր է։ Բանն այն է, որ ՀՀ ազգային վիճակագրական ծառայության հրապարակած տվյալների համաձայն՝այս 2016 թվականի հունվարի 1– ի դրությամբ Հայաստանի մշտական բնակչության թիվը կազմել է 2 մլն 998 հազար 600 մարդ։ Սա այն դեպքում, երբ հեռավոր 1979 թվականին Հայաստանի մշտական բնակչության թիվը եղել է 3 մլն 37 հազարից ավել։ 2008 թվականից Հայաստանի բնակչության մեծ թափ ստացած արտագաղթը ոչ միայն չի դադարում, այլ նաև նույնիսկ պաշտոնական թվերով ողբերգական հետևանք է ունենում։

Իսկ ինչ վերաբերում Է արտագաղթի պաշտոնական թվերին, ապա ըստ ԱՎԾ-ի՝ անցած 2015 թվականի ընթացքում Հայաստանից հեռացել և չի վերադարձել 47 հազար 676 ՀՀ քաղաքացի։ Այսպիսով կարող ենք արձանագրել, որ արտագաղթի միջին, տարեկան 47 հազար թիվը շարունակում Է պահպանվել։ Մյուս կողմից՝ անցած տարի ծնված երեխաների թիվը նվազել է 3 տոկոսով. 2014-ի 43 հազար 31 ծնվածների փոխարեն 2015-ին այդ թիվը կազմել 141 հազար 815։ Մեռելածին երեխաների թիվը աճել Է 7 տոկոսով՝ 746-ից դառնալով 797, իսկ մահացությունների թիվը 27 հազար 714-ից դարձել Է 27 հազար 835։ Վերը բերված թվերը փաստում են, որ Հայաստանի բնակչության նվազմանը նպաստող բոլոր գործոնները, որոնք տեսականորեն հնարավոր են գոյություն ունենալ, առկա են մեր երկրում»,–գրում է թերթը։
