Թրամփը հրամայել է լուծարել «Ամերիկայի ձայնին», «Ազատությանը» ֆինանսավորող մայր կառույցը՝ ԱՄՆ Գլոբալ մեդիա գործակալությունը

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը ուրբաթ օրը ստորագրել է հրամանագիր, որով նախատեսվում է լուծարել յոթ դաշնային գործակալություններ, այդ թվում՝ այն կառույցը, որը վերահսկում է «Ամերիկայի ձայնը» և այլ պետական ֆինանսավորմամբ գործող լրատվամիջոցներ ամբողջ աշխարհում․ գրում է NYTIMES-ը։ Թրամփը հանձնարարել է այս գործակալությունների ղեկավարներին՝ դադարեցնել այն բոլոր գործառույթները, որոնք օրենքով պարտադիր չեն։ Բացի այդ, նրանք պետք է «նվազեցնեն իրենց օրենքով սահմանված գործառույթների կատարման ծավալն ու համապատասխան անձնակազմի թվաքանակը՝ հասցնելով նվազագույն անհրաժեշտ մակարդակի», նշված է հրամանագրում։ Կառավարության կրճատմանն ուղղված նախագահ Թրամփի բազմակողմանի նախաձեռնությունների շրջանակում այս որոշումը կարծես հերթական անգամ փորձարկում է նրա լիազորությունների սահմանները։ Օրինակ՝ «Ամերիկայի Ձայն»-ի վերահսկող մարմինը՝ ԱՄՆ Գլոբալ Մեդիայի Գործակալությունը, Կոնգրեսի որոշմամբ անկախ կառույց է։ Բացի այդ, 2020 թվականին Կոնգրեսը ընդունել է օրենք, որը սահմանափակում է այդ գործակալության նախագահի կողմից նշանակվող գործադիր տնօրենի իշխանությունը։ Գլոբալ Մեդիայի Գործակալությունը, բացի «Ամերիկայի ձայն»-ից, ֆինանսավորում է նաև «Ազատ Եվրոպա/Ազատություն Ռադիո»-ն և «Ազատ Ասիա Ռադիո»-ն։ Կազմակերպությունը, որի բյուջեն կազմում է մոտ 270 միլիոն դոլար և ունի ավելի քան 2000 աշխատակից, հեռարձակվում է 49 լեզվով։ Այն շաբաթական ունի ավելի քան 361 միլիոն լսարան։
