Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգը Մեծ Պահքի վերաբերյալ հրապարակել է հաճախ տրվող հարցերի պատասխանները`
Հարց- Ո՞րն է պահքի հոգևոր խորհուրդը:
Պատասխան- Պահքն իմաստ ունի, եթե վերագտնում ենք մեր հոգևոր ուրախութունը, իսկ այդ ուրախությունը վերագտնելու համար կարևոր է Աստծու հետ կենդանի կապը, զղջումն ու ապաշխարությունը: Այս ճանապարհին պահեցողության կարևոր ուղեկիցը նաև աղոթքն է: Ս․ Գրքում ասված է. «Բարի են աղոթքները՝ պահեցողություններով» (Տոբիթ 12:8)։ Պահքը, սակայն, հետզհետե ավելի կիրառելի դարձավ իբրև ապաշխարության նշան և արտահայտություն: Սրա ամենաբացահայտ օրինակը գալիս է նինվեացիներից (Հովնան 3:5-9): Պահքի ներկա ձևին, այսինքն՝ համադամ կերակուրներից և մսեղենից հրաժարվելու սովորությանը, առաջին անգամ հանդիպում ենք Դանիելի մարգարեության գրքում, ուր ասված է. «Այդ օրերին ես՝ Դանիելս, երեք շաբաթ սուգի մեջ էի: Լավ հաց չկերա, միս և գինի չմտավ իմ բերանը, յուղով չօծվեցի, մինչև որ վերջացան երեք շաբաթները» (Դան. 10։2-3):
Հարց- Ինչո՞ւ Մեծ Պահքի ընթացքում չեն համբուրում Ավետարանը։
Պատասխան- Մեծ Պահքի շրջանում մինչև Սուրբ Հարության (Զատկի) Եկեղեցում Ավետարանը չեն համբուրում ի նշան այն բանի, որ Ադամը զրկվեց Կենաց ծառի պտղի ճաշակումից:
Հարց- Մեծ Պահքի ընթացքում կարելի՞ է մատաղ անել։
Պատասխան- Ոչ, չի կարելի։
Հարց- Մեծ Պահքի շրջանում ե՞րբ է կարելի Ս. Հաղորդություն ստանալ:
Պատասխան- Պահքի ժամանակ Ս. Հաղորդություն չի տրվում, բացառությամբ այն դեպքերի, երբ բաց Խորանով Պատարագ է մատուցվում:
