Մենք այսօր առնվազն 23 գերիներ, պատանդներ, այլ պահվող անձինք ունենք Ադրբեջանում և նաև մենք փորձում ենք հնարավոր ջանքերը գործադրել այդ խնդրի լուծման համար: Այս մասին թուրքական լրատվամիջոցներին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:
«Արդեն ասացի, որ այդ իրադրությունը մեզ շատ անհանգստացնում է։ Մենք այսօր առնվազն 23 գերիներ, պատանդներ, այլ պահվող անձինք ունենք Ադրբեջանում և նաև մենք փորձում ենք հնարավոր ջանքերը գործադրել այդ խնդրի լուծման համար: Բայց մյուս կողմից պետք է հասկանանք, որ դա տեղի է ունենում մի պայմաններում, երբ Ադրբեջանը, ըստ էության, այդ գործոնը նույնպես օգտագործում է էսկալացիոն տրամաբանությամբ և էսկալացիոն նպատակներով: Եվ երբ ասում են, որ Հայաստանի Կառավարությունն անհրաժեշտ ջանքեր չի գործադրում այդ խնդիրը լուծելու համար, եթե մարդիկ նման բան ասում են, նշանակում է բավարար չափով տեղեկացված են: Ես, ընդհանուր առմամբ, այդ քննադատությունը հասկանում եմ և միշտ ասում եմ՝ քանի դեռ այդ ջանքերը, որ Կառավարությունը գործադրում է, արդյունք չեն տալիս, բոլորը կարող են ասել, որ ջանք չի գործադրվում, որովհետև այդ ջանքերը հիմնականում դիվանագիտական մակարդակով են գործադրվում: Ինչո՞ւ, որովհետև այս ժանրի մեջ հրապարակային հայտարարությունները պետք է լինեն շատ նպատակային և կոնկրետ նպատակի ծառայեն: Եվ այդ հրապարակային հայտարարությունների որոշակի դեպքերից անդին արդեն իրենք ոչ մի օգուտ չեն տալիս և ընդհակառակը՝ վնաս են տալիս։ Ես միշտ բերում եմ 2023 թվականի դեկտեմբերի օրինակը, երբ 32 գերեվարված մեր հայրենակիցներ վերադարձան Հայաստան, և մինչև վերջին վայրկյանը ոչ մեկի հայտնի չէր այն ջանքերը, որ մենք գործադրում էինք և մինչև վերջին վայրկյանը հնչում էին քննադատություններ, որ Կառավարությունը ոչինչ չի անում: Եվ այդ մարդիկ իրենց տեսակետից ճիշտ էին, որովհետև նրանց տեսակետից Կառավարությունը որևէ բան անում է միայն այն պարագայում, երբ այդ խնդիրը լուծված է»,-ասաց նա։
Փաշինյանը նշում է՝ դա ցավոտ հարց է. «Բայց կա նաև հետևյալը՝ մենք տեսնում ենք, որ Ադրբեջանն այդ խնդիրը ցավոք, էլի ասում եմ, որ մանավանդ խաղաղության գործընթացի համատեքստում, երբ անընդհատ փորձ է արվում բերել լրացուցիչ էսկալացիոն գործոններ, ընդ որում արդեն իսկ հրապարակային հայտարարություններ խոշտանգումների մասին, արդեն իսկ վիզուալ հիմնավորումներ արգելված միջոցների մասին, որն իհարկե անհանգստացնող է, անընդունելի և Հայաստանի Կառավարությունն այդ հարցով հստակ դիրքորոշում է արտահայտել»:
