Այդպիսի մի արտահայտություն կա, որ պատմությունից պետք է դասեր քաղել, բայց դասը հետևյալն է, հետևությունը հետևյալն է, որ պատմության մեջ այդ հետևությունը չկա և քաղաքական ընտրության և քաղաքական ընկալման հարց է՝ ի՞նչ դաս քաղել և ինչպես ընկալել պատմությունը և ինչպես օգտվել պատմությունից: Այս մասին թուրքական լրատվամիջոցներին տված հարցազրույցում նշեց ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:
«Օգտվել պատմությունից որպես գիտելիքի աղբյուր, որպես այսօրվա և ապագայի մասին իմացության աղբյուր, որպես այսօրը և ապագան կառուցելու նախագծի համար գիտելիքի և ինֆորմացիայի աղբյուր, թե՞ այնուամենայնիվ ապրել պատմությունը։ Սրանք քաղաքական ընտրության հարց են:
Այո, ես պատմության մասին հաճախ եմ խոսում և իմ հիմնական ուղերձը հետևյալն է, որ պետք է պատմության և այսօրվա միջև սահմանազատում իրականացնել, չի կարելի պատմությունը և այսօրը ընկալել նույն կերպ որովհետև այսօրը այսօր է, պատմությունը՝ պատմություն:
Չի կարելի ապագայի և պատմության մեջ սահմաններ չունենալ, որովհետև ապագան ոչ թե պատմության հայելային արտահայտություն պետք է լինի, այլ ապագան հնարավորություն է ուղղել պատմության մեջ կամ ավելի լավը դարձնել պատմության այն էջերը, որը ուզում ենք ավելի լավը դարձնել։
Կան հանրություններ, կան պետություններ, որոնք ունեն իրենց բացարձակ ճշմարտությունները պատմության մասին։ Հետևաբար իմ ընկալումն այն է, պատմության մեր դասերը մենք պետք է ծառայեցնենք այսօրվա մեր պետության, Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պետության շահերին, պետական շահերին և ապագայի շահերին։
Իմ ընկալմամբ այս խոսակցությունը հասունացած է և Հայաստանում, և սփյուռքում, բայց խոսքը պատմությունը փոխելու կամ պատմությունը հերքելու մասին չէ։ Խոսքը պատմության մեր կիրառական ընկալումը փոխելու մասին է, թե ինչի համար, որպես ի՞նչ ռեսուրս պետք օգտագործվի պատմությունը, ի՞նչ գիտելիք պետք է ձեռք բերվի պատմությունից, որը հեշտ հարց չէ»,- ընդգծեց ՀՀ վարչապետը:
