Նրա խոսքով՝ Եթե Փաշինյանը որոշել է Թուրքիայից զենք բերել, ապա Արարատի անունը չտալու տրամաբանությունը կարող էր տեղ ունենար։
«Բայց քանի որ Թուրքիան մեզ երբեք զենք չի վաճառի, նման անհեթեթություններ հայտարարում է՝ իր կապիտուլյացիոն բնույթն առաջ մղելու համար: Ես չեմ զարմանում, որ Մակրոնի ու Շառլ Միշելի խաթր Արցախից հրաժարվողը հիմա հրաժարվում է մեր ազգային սիմվոլներից։ Վաղն էլ Սահմանադրությունից կհանեն Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու առանցքային դերի մասին դրույթը»,- ասաց պաշտպանության նախկին փոխնախարարը:

«Նրանք չեն կարողանում կամ չեն ցանկանում լուծել մեր ժողովրդի առաջ ծառացած անվտանգային խնդիրներն ու այդ բեռը դնում են ժողովրդի վրա՝ բանակը թուլացնել, Ադրբեջանին թույլ տալ վերահսկել մեր զենքերի ձեռքբերումը, ինչ ուզում են՝ տանք, Սահմանադրությունը փոխենք, միայն թե Ադրբեջանը չհարձակվի… Պատերազմով սեփական ժողովրդին վախեցնող իշխանությունն ասում է մի բան՝ ես չեմ ուզում կամ չեմ կարողանում պաշտպանել ձեր իրավունքները ձեր իսկ սուվերեն տարածքի վրա»,- ասաց Արտակ Զաքարյանը:
