550 կմ երկարությամբ ջրիմուռների անտառը կարող է լինել աշխարհի ամենամեծ կլոնը

Գիտնականները պարզել են, որ Բալթիկ ծովում ջրիմուռների եզակի տեսակների որոշ անտառներ իրականում բոլորովին այլ տեսակ են, և այն կարող է տարածվել՝ դառնալով աշխարհի ամենամեծ կլոնը: Հետազոտությունը հրապարակվել է Molecular Ecology ամսագրում:
Խոսքը Fucus vesiculosus-ի և Fucus radicans-ի մասին է, որոնցից վերջինը համարվում էր գերիշխող տեսակ Բոթնիայի ծոցում՝ Բալթիկ ծովի Շվեդիայի և Ֆինլանդիայի միջև ընկած տարածաշրջանում, հաղորդում է Planet Today-ը:
Սակայն, Շվեդիայի Գյոթեբորգի համալսարանի հետազոտողները, վերլուծելով տարածքից վերցված ջրիմուռների նմուշների ԴՆԹ-ն, պարզեցին, որ դա Fucus vesiculosus-ի միայնակ, հսկայական իգական կլոնն է:
«Այս կլոնը ներառում է միլիոնավոր անհատներ, և որոշ ոլորտներում այն լիովին գերիշխող է, մինչդեռ այլ հատվածներում այն աճում է սեռական ճանապարհով վերարտադրող միզապարկի վիլկի կողքին», - ասում է հետազոտության հեղինակ Ռիկարդո Պերեյրան, ով ղեկավարել է գենետիկական վերլուծությունը: «Մենք գտանք մի քանի այլ խոշոր կլոններ Բալթիկ ծովում, սակայն Շվեդիայի Բոթնիայի ծոցի ափերից դուրս գտնվող իգական կլոնը, ըստ էության, ամենամեծ կլոնն է՝ իսկական գերկին»:
Պերեյրան չէր կատակում, երբ ասաց, որ կլոնը մեծ է: Այն գերակշռում է Բոթնիայի ծոցի ափի ավելի քան 550 կիլոմետր հեռավորության վրա գտնվող տարածքներում՝ տարածվելով հոսանքների վրա, որոնք տանում են սկզբնական իգական սեռի բեկորները նոր վայրեր, որտեղ նրանք վերածվում են նոր անհատների՝ նույն գենետիկ նյութով, ինչ բնօրինակը:
Աշխարհի ամենամեծ կլոնի մյուս հավակնորդները ներառում են 180 կիլոմետր երկարությամբ ծովախոտի կլոնը Շարք Բեյում (Ավստրալիա) և Պանդոն՝ հսկայական ցնցող կաղամախու թուփը, որը զբաղեցնում է 42,6 հեկտար տարածք Յուտայի Ֆիշլեյք ազգային անտառում:
Հարցն այն է, թե ինչու պետք է կարևոր լինի, եթե ջրիմուռների մի տեսակ համարվում է մյուսը: Կամ, որ կա նրա հսկայական կլոնը: Պատասխանը կլիմայի փոփոխության, օվկիանոսների տաքացման և պահպանման մեջ է:
«Բալթիկ ծովը թեւակոխում է ավելի տաք և գուցե նույնիսկ ավելի թարմ ծովային ջրի շրջան: Նոր միջավայրում բոլոր տեսակները պետք է փորձեն հարմարվել գոյատևելու համար, ներառյալ ջրիմուռի կարևոր ճեղքը», - ասում է գլխավոր հեղինակ պրոֆեսոր Քերսթին Յոհաննեսոնը: «Կլոնը գործնականում չունի գենետիկական փոփոխություն, որը հակառակ դեպքում ցույց կտա, որ պոպուլյացիայի մեջ կան անհատներ, որոնք կարող են դիմակայել փոփոխություններին և ապահովել տեսակի գոյատևումը»:
Կարևոր է, որ ջրիմուռը գոյատևի։ Մի քանի տեսակներ ապաստան կամ սնունդ ապահովելու համար ապավինում են դրա վրա, ներառյալ ձկները, խխունջները և խեցգետնակերպերը: Եթե ջրիմուռները չեն կարողանում հարմարվել, դա մեծացնում է ռիսկը, որ նրանք նույնպես չեն գոյատևի:
Բալթիկ ծովում ջրիմուռների տեսակների գենետիկական բազմազանության և բարդության իմացությունը կարող է օգնել կանխել դա՝ բնապահպաններին ավելի լավ հասկանալով, թե ինչպես կառավարել դրանք փոփոխվող պայմաններում:
