Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը նախօրեին հոդված է հրապարակել, վերնագրել «Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև հաղորդակցության ուղիների մասին»։ Իր հոդվածում անդրադառնալով Ադրբեջանի կողմից շահարկվող հարցերին՝ Փաշինյանը նշում է, թե Ադրբեջանի կողմից ամենահաճախ շահարկվողը կամ էսկալացվողը տարածաշրջանային կոմունիկացիաների հարցն է: Այս և այլ հարցերում, ըստ Փաշինյանի, Հայաստանը մի քանի առաջարկներ է արել Ադրբեջանին, որը մերժել է բոլորը։

Ընդ որում, ակնհայտ է, որ Բաքուն մերժում է հնարավոր բոլոր առաջարկները, պնդում նոյեմբերի 9-ի հայտարարության վրա։ Ադրբեջանի ԱԳՆ-ն երեկ արձագանքելով Փաշինյանին, կրկին նշել էր, թե Հայաստանը պարտավորություն ունի, որքան էլ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հայտարարում է, թե «Հայաստանը ոչ մի միակողմանի պարտավորություն չունի, երկու կողմերն են պարտավորվել միմյանց համար բացել բոլոր տրանսպորտային և տնտեսական հաղորդակցությունները»։

Ադրբեջանի մերժումը հրապարակայնացնելով, ծավալուն հոդված գրելով՝ ՀՀ վարչապետի պաշտոնը զբաղեցնող անձը հաստատում է, որ այդ հարցերում որևէ առաջընթաց չկա։

Առայժմ մեղմ, բայց հստակ ձևակերպումներով Փաշինյանը նաև փորձում է հայ իրականություն ներմուծել ադրբեջանական «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջանի» թեզը, հոդվածում հինգ անգամ կրկնում է այդ վիճահարույց արտահայտությունը՝ հանրությանը նախապատրաստելով Բաքվի նոր սադրանքին։ Ըստ էության, գործ ունենք Բաքվի նարատիվներն ակտիվորեն առաջ մղող, ՀՀ շահերը ոտնահարող սուբյեկտի հետ, որի պաշտոնավարման ամեն օրն աղետ է գուժում մեր երկրի համար։
