ԱՄՆ Սպիտակ տանն Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Զելենսկու հետ կայացած պատմությունից հետո, երբ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն ու փոխնախագահ Վենսը բոլոր առումներով չոր նվաստացրել էին Զելենսկուն, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հրահանգել է իր ողջ թիմին՝ այդ թեմային չանդրադառնալ, անգամ եթե լրագրողները տեսախցիկով բռնացնում և կոշտ հարցադրումներ են անում։

Թե՛ այս հարցում, թե՛ մարտի 1-ին վերաբերող հարցերում ՔՊ-ականները խուսափում են մեկնաբանություններից։ Փաշինյանը հասկանում է, եթե պաշտպանում է նախագահ Թրամփի քայլը, խնդիրներ է ունենում իր եվրոպական հովանավորների մոտ, կարող է արժանանալ Մակրոնի և մյուսների բացասական վերաբերմունքին։ Հատկապես, վտանգավոր կարող է լինել բրիտանական իշխանությունների վերաբերմունքը, իսկ պաշտոնական Լոնդոնը վաղուց դարձել է Փաշինյանի «հայրիկը» քաղաքական առումով։ Հենց բրիտանացիների աջակցությամբ է Փաշինյանը ցանկանում կարգավորել հարաբերությունները Թուրքիայի հետ։

Մյուս կողմից, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը լուրջ խնդիրներ ունի ամերիկյան ներկայիս վարչակազմի հետ։ Փաշինյանը հրաշալի գիտակցում է, որ ամերիկյան վարչակազմը ոչինչ չի մոռանում։ Փաշինյանին դեռ փոխնախագահ Վենսն է հիշեցրել, որ ԱՄՆ-ում ՀՀ դեսպանը մասնակցել է դեմոկրատների միջոցառումներին, աշխատել հանրապետականների դեմ։ Շառից-փորձանքից հեռու Փաշինյանն այսօր փորձում է շահել թե՛ եվրոպացիների, թե՛ ԱՄՆ նոր վարչակազմի սիրտը։
