Մեզ խաղաղություն է պետք, ոչ թե անվերջ պատերազմ, իսկ խաղաղության բանալին անվտանգության երաշխիքներն են. այս մասին թելեգրամյան ալիքում տեղադրված տեսաուղերձում ասել է Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին:
«Առաջիկայում բոլորս Եվրոպայում կձևավորենք մեր ընդհանուր դիրքորոշումները՝ այն գծերը, որոնց պետք է հասնենք, և այն գծերը, որոնց պարագայում մենք չենք կարող զիջումների գնալ: Այս դիրքորոշումները կներկայացվեն ԱՄՆ-ի մեր գործընկերներին։ Ուժեղ և տևական խաղաղությունը և պատերազմի ավարտի վերաբերյալ ճիշտ համաձայնությունը իսկապես մեր ընդհանուր առաջնահերթությունն են», - ասել է նա:
Երեկ Լոնդոնում կայացել է Ուկրաինայի հարցով եվրոպական գագաթնաժողովը, որը տևել է մոտ երկու ժամ։ Գագաթնաժողովին մասնակցել են 18 երկրի ղեկավարներ, կառավարության ներկայացուցիչներ և ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարը:
Ինչպես նշում է BBC-ն, Եվրահանձնաժողովի ղեկավար Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լեյենը Լոնդոնում եվրոպացի առաջնորդների գագաթնաժողովը որակել է որպես «լավ և անկեղծ քննարկում»։
Նրա խոսքով, առաջնորդները քննարկել են Կիևի համար անվտանգության համապարփակ երաշխիքների անհրաժեշտությունը, այդ թվում՝ Ուկրաինային ուժեղ դիրք հաղորդելը և նրան «ամրապնդելու և պաշտպանելու» միջոցներ տրամադրելը։
Ֆոն դեր Լեյենն ասել է.«Մենք պետք է ուժեղացնենք մեր պաշտպանությունը... մենք պետք է հսկայական քայլ անենք առաջ»: Նա հավելել է, որ անհրաժեշտ է հստակ ծրագիր Եվրամիության կողմից և համաեվրոպական մոտեցում:
«Այժմ մեզ համար չափազանց կարևոր է մեծացնել ծախսերը… կարևոր է նախապատրաստվել վատագույնին», - ասել է Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լեյենը:
Նա նաև դիմել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփին Լոնդոնից՝ ասելով. «Մենք պատրաստ ենք Ձեզ հետ կանգնել՝ պաշտպանելու ժողովրդավարությունը, պաշտպանելու օրենքի գերակայության սկզբունքը, ըստ որի՝ չի կարելի ներխուժել հարևանի տարածք կամ ուժով փոխել սահմանները: Մեր ընդհանուր շահերից է բխում կանխել ապագա պատերազմները»:
