Կիրակի ամերիկյան Firefly Aerospace մասնավոր ընկերությունն իր Blue Ghost տիեզերական մոդուլը բարեհաջող իջեցրել է Լուսնի մակերեսին։ Փոքր մեքենային չափով սարքը վայրէջք է կատարել Լուսնի՝ Երկրին նայող կողմի հյուսիս-արևելյան մասում գտնվող մեծ իջվածքի մոտ՝ «Ճգնաժամի ծով» կոչվող հարթավայրում, հայտնում է BBC-ն:
Երկու շաբաթվա ընթացքում սարքը հետազոտություններ կանցկացնի՝ օգտագործելով 10 գիտական գործիք:
Մոդուլը հագեցած է արևային մարտկոցներով, որոնք դրա հետազոտական գործիքները սնուցելու են 14 օր: Այնուհետև կսկսվի լուսնային գիշերը, և Երկրի բնական արբանյակի մակերեսի վրա ջերմաստիճանը կնվազի մինչև մինուս 173 աստիճան ըստ Ցելսիուսի սանդղակի:
Firefly-ն դարձել է երկրորդ մասնավոր ընկերությունը, որի սարքը բարեհաջող վայրէջք է կատարել Լուսնի վրա: Առայժմ Լուսնի վրա վայրէջք են կատարել հինգ երկրների տիեզերանավեր՝ Խորհրդային Միության, ԱՄՆ-ի, Չինաստանի, Հնդկաստանի և Ճապոնիայի։
