Այսօր մարտի 1-ն է. լրանում է ողբերգական իրադարձությունների 17-րդ տարելիցը։ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ու ԱԺ նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանը հարգանքի տուրք են մատուցել Երևանում 2008 թվականի մարտի 1-ի իրադարձությունների զոհերի հիշատակին: Նրանք ծաղիկներ են խոնարհել Երևանի քաղաքապետարանի դիմաց՝ Մանկական այգում 2023-ին տեղադրված Մարտի 1–ի զոհերի հիշատակը հավերժացնող հուշարձանին։
7 տարի առաջ գալով իշխանության՝ Փաշինյանը հայտարարում էր, թե բացահայտելու է Մարտի 1-ի բոլոր հանգամանքները, իսկ մեղավորներին պատասխանատվության են ենթարկելու։ Ավելին, արդեն 2018 թ. հուլիսի 17-ին կայացած հանրահավաքում Փաշինյանը հայտարարում էր, թե «ըստ էության, ամբողջ ծավալով Մարտի 1-ի գործը բացահայտված է»։
Այսօր արդեն, երբ որևէ բան բացահայտված չէ, Փաշինյանը լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ստել է, ասել, թե «երբեք չի ասել ամբողջությամբ»։ Միայն այս մեկ դրվագով Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ապացուցում է, որ շարքային ստախոս և մանիպուլյատոր է, նույնիսկ այսպիսի զգայուն հարցում չունի արգելակներ, չունի բարոյական կողմնորոշիչներ, պատրաստ է ստել և խաբել։ Իսկ մարդիկ, որոնք հավատում էին, թե «հեղափոխական» իշխանություններն ի վերջո կհամարձակվեն բացահայտել Մարտի 1-ի և այլ աղմկահարույց գործերը, մնացին կոտրած տաշտակի առջև։
