Հայրենական մեծ պատերազմի Հաղթանակի 25-ամյակի կապակցությամբ 1970 թվականին բացվեց «Մայր Հայաստան» ռազմական պատմության թանգարանը, որում ներկայացված է հայերի մասնակցությունը Հայրենական մեծ պատերազմում։ Շուրջ 600 հազար հայ է մասնակցել ֆաշիտական Գերմանիայի դեմ պատերազմին՝ իր նպաստը բերելով Խորհրդային միության տարած հաղթանակում։ Պատերազմի ընթացքում հենց առաջին օրվանից ձևավորվել է 6 ազգային դիվիզիա։ Հայ ժողովուրդը այս պատերազմում տվել է 5 մարշալ, 118 Խորհրդային միության հերոս, որոնցից երկուսը այդ կոչմանն արժանացել են երկու անգամ, Փառքի շքանշանի 28 ասպետ և 64 գեներալ։

«Մայր Հայաստան» ռազմական պատմության թանգարանի տնօրեն Վալերի Հակոբյանի և ավագ գիտաշխատող Նարինե Խաչատրյանի հետ մենք շրջայց ենք կատարել թանգարանում, ծանոթացել թանգարանի հարուստ ժառանգությանն ու պատմությանը, պատերազմին մասնակցած հայ հերոսների, գեներալների և մարշալների անցած հերոսական ուղուն և հաղթական դրվագներին։
