Госдеп: Украина не будет фигурировать в повестке переговоров России и США в Стамбуле

Украина не будет фигурировать в повестке дня встречи официальных лиц США и России в Стамбуле в четверг для переговоров о работе их соответствующих дипломатических миссий, заявил в среду представитель Госдепартамента, передает Reuters.

«Для ясности, в повестке нет вопросов политики или безопасности. Украина не стоит на повестке дня», - сообщил пресс-секретарь ведомства агентству по электронной почте.

Делегации с участием госсекретаря США Марко Рубио и министра иностранных дел России Сергея Лаврова договорились во время переговоров в Саудовской Аравии на прошлой неделе начать обсуждения на фоне практического нефункционирования посольств обеих стран, подчеркивает Reuters.

Ранее глава МИД России Сергей Лавров сообщил, что российские и американские дипломаты встретятся 27 февраля в Стамбуле для обсуждения проблем работы посольств двух стран.

«Такая встреча состоится завтра в Стамбуле», - сказал глава МИД РФ на пресс-конференции по итогам визита в Катар.

«Мы объявили, что наши дипломаты, высокого уровня эксперты встретятся и рассмотрят системные проблемы, которые накопились в результате противоправной деятельности предыдущей администрации (США) по созданию искусственных препон для деятельности российского посольства, на что мы, естественно, отвечали взаимностью и тоже создавали некомфортные условия для работы американского посольства в Москве», - отметил Лавров.
