Застрелившего трех человек в Роттердаме мужчину приговорили к пожизненному заключению.

Обвинение запросило 30 лет тюрьмы и принудительное психиатрическое лечение для Фуада Л., но судья приговорил его к пожизненному заключению, передает NOS.

«Убийство и поджог относятся к числу самых серьезных преступлений», — приводит NU.nl слова судьи.

Через 28 лет Фуад Л. сможет подать прошение об условно-досрочном освобождении. Приговор, который запросило обвинение, предполагал бы, что он сможет выйти на свободу только после успешного завершения психиатрического лечения, сообщает BBC.

В сентябре 2023 года Фуад Л. застрелил свою соседку, 39-летнюю Марлус, и ее 14-летнюю дочь Реми. Затем он отправился в медицинский центр «Эразмус» и убил преподававшего там 43-летнего врача Юргена Дамена. Мужчина также поджег свой дом и медцентр.

Мотивом преступления, рассказал Фуад Л. в суде, стал отказ в выдаче ему диплома врача по окончании обучения.
