«Հանուն կայուն մարդկային զարգացման» հասարակական կազմակերպության նախագահ, Երեւանի պատվավոր քաղաքացի Կարինե Դանիելյանը մտահոգ է՝ որքան է շարունակվելու երեւանյան աղավաղությունը:

«Պատմություն ունեցող քաղաքները կենտրոնը պահում են որպես արժեք, իսկ մեզ մոտ չկա այդպիսի բան, ախպեր-տղերքը չէին կարող մի քիչ թողնեին քաղաքին, պետք է ամբողջը բիզնեսի վերածել: Մեր քաղաքի ապերոները չեն կարող առանձին թաղամասերում բիզնես անեն, նրանք օպերայի գլխին պետք է լինեն, հրապարակի գլխին պետք է լինեն: Եվ պարզվեց, որ Երեւանը պատմություն չունի, Երեւանը էկոլոգիական խնդիրներ չունի: Եկեք ամբողջը ջնջենք, շենքեր նկարենք»,- ասում է նա:

Հներին  փոխարինող նորակառույցները վտանգում են երեւանցիների կյանքը, համոզված է Կարինե Դանիելյանը:

ԱԺ-ում օրենքի նախագիծ կա՝ հին շենքերը պահպանելու եւ քանդման դեպքում նորը չկառուցելու մասին, բայց Կարինե Դանիելյանը վստահ է, մինչեւ նախագիծն օրենք դառնա, քաղաքն իր դեմքը կորցրած կլինի։

Իսկ Երեւանի կենտրոնում ծնված- մեծացած Արթուր Բախտամյանը այլ կարծիքի է. Երեւանի որոշ  կորուստներին դեմ չէ:

«Ես դեմ չեմ, որ Երեւանը ժամանակակից քաղաք դառնա: Էս շենքերը պետք է քանդվեն, ու տեղը կանաչ լինի: Չեմ ասում՝ բարձրահարկեր կառուցնեն, բայց պետք է էս կիսաքանդ, մոխրագույն, «խանգռած» շենքերի փոխարեն թարմ շունչ լինի Երեւանում»:

Արթուր Բախտամյանը Երեւանը  պատմամշակութային քաղաք չի համարում, վստահ է՝ քաղաքին նորություններ են պետք:

Հին Երեւանը նորով փոխարինելու բանավեճը դեռ երկար է շարունակվելու։ Արամի 30-ը մի քանի օր առաջ, տարածքի սեփականատիրոջ ձեռամբ, քաղաքապետարանի թողտվությամբ, արդեն անցյալ է, հերթը Աբովյան-Պուշկին- Սախարովի հրապարակի պատմական եռանկյունունն է»:
