Եվրոպան ստիպված կլինի դժվար ընտրություն անել և զոհողությունների դիմել՝ դիմակայելու համար սպառնալիքներին և ապահովելու իր անվտանգությունը, ըստ Reuters գործակալության՝ շաբաթ օրը Մյունխենի անվտանգության համաժողովում հայտարարել է Ֆրանսիայի արտգործնախարար Ժան-Նոել Բարրոն։

«Մենք պետք է պատրաստվենք: Ստիպված կլինենք դժվար օրերի միջով անցնել, բարդ որոշումներ ընդուննել և նույնիսկ զոհողությունների դիմել, որոնք առ այսօր չէինք սպասում՝ ապահովելու համար այդ անվտանգությունը»,- միջոցառման ժամանակ լրագրողներին ասել է Բարրոն:

Բարրոն հայտարարել է նաև, որ ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Մարկո Ռուբիոյի հետ իր բանակցություններից հետո տպավորություն է ստեղծվել, թե ԱՄՆ վարչակազմը դեռևս կարծիք է ձևավորում, թե Միացյալ Նահագներն ինչպես պետք է կարգավորի ուկրաինական ճգնաժամը։

Բարոն ավելի ուշ X-ի սոցիալական ցանցում գրառում է կատարել Մյունխենի անվտանգության համաժողովի ելույթների մասին։

 «Այսօր Մյունխենում երեք սկզբունք եմ վերահաստատում: Եվրոպայում խոսքի ազատությունը երաշխավորված է: Երբ մարդ վստահ է իր վրա, նա չի վախենում քննադատությունից։ Ոչ ոք պարտավոր չէ ընդօրինակել մեր մոդելը, բայց ոչ ոք չի կարող մեզ պարտադրել իրենը»,- գրել է նա։

Ուրբաթ Մյունխենի անվտանգության համաժողովի ժամանակ ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահ Ջեյմս Դեյվիդ Վենսը Անվտանգության համաժողով խիստ քննադատության է ենթարկել եվրոպացի առաջնորդներին՝ հայտարարելով, որ իրենց անվտանգության ամենամեծ սպառնալիքը բխում է «ներսից», այլ ոչ թե Չինաստանից և Ռուսաստանից:

Վենսն օգտագործել է իր առաջին կարևոր ելույթը որպես ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահ՝ քննադատելու համար եվրոպացի քաղաքական գործիչներին՝ հայտարարելով, որ նրանք ճնշում են խոսքի ազատությունը, կորցնում վերահսկողությունը ներգաղթի նկատմամբ և կառավարությունում հրաժարվում են աշխատել կոշտ աջակողմյան կուսակցությունների հետ:
