Глава МИД Азербайджана Джейхун Байрамов пожаловался генсеку Совета Европы Алену Берсе, передают азербайджанские СМИ.

Байрамов обвинил институты Совета Европы в  предвзятости, которая, по его убеждению, нарушает сотрудничество в сферах верховенства закона, прав человека и демократии, к которым Азербайджан, однако, не имеет никакого отношения.

Более того, Байрамов обвинил Совет Европы в дискриминации по отношению к Азербайджану после решения о невозвращении делегации Азербайджана в ПАСЕ.

По его словам, такие шаги наносят ущерб взаимным контактам и отношениям, закрывая «существующие каналы диалога».

Напомним, что ПАСЕ в конце января решила не ратифицировать полномочия делегации Азербайджана. ПАСЕ сослалась на резолюцию, подтверждающую отсутствие свободного и безопасного движения через Лачинский коридор, упомянув также резолюцию, в которой Ассамблея осудила военные действия Азербайджана в сентябре 2023 года в Нагорном Карабахе.
