Շվեդիայի Լինչոպինգի համալսարանի գիտնականները մշակել են արևային մարտկոցների վերամշակման մեթոդ, որը կարող է զգալիորեն նվազեցնել արևային էներգիայի արտադրության էկոլոգիական բեռը: Հետազոտությունը ցույց է տալիս, որ հնարավոր է վերաօգտագործել պերովսկիտի վրա հիմնված արևային տարրերի բոլոր բաղադրիչները՝ առանց շրջակա միջավայրի համար վնասակար լուծիչներ օգտագործելու:
Էլեկտրաէներգիայի սպառման կտրուկ աճի պայմաններում, որը կապված է արհեստական բանականության զարգացման և էլեկտրական տրանսպորտին անցնելու հետ, առաջանում է արդյունավետ և էկոլոգիապես մաքուր էներգիայի աղբյուրների անհրաժեշտություն: Արևային էներգիան երկար ժամանակ համարվում է ամենահեռանկարային ուղղություններից մեկը, սակայն ավանդական սիլիկոնային արևային վահանները, որոնք շուկայում են արդեն ավելի քան 30 տարի, մոտենում են իրենց կյանքի ցիկլի ավարտին՝ ստեղծելով վերամշակման անսպասելի խնդիր:
Շվեդ գիտնականները ստեղծել են արևային մարտկոցների բազմակի ամբողջական վերամշակման տեխնոլոգիա՝ առանց արդյունավետությունը կորցնելու, որն օգտագործում է միայն ջուր:
«Ներկայումս չկա սիլիկոնային վահանների թափոնների արդյունավետ վերամշակման տեխնոլոգիա: Ուստի հին արևային մարտկոցները հայտնվում են աղբանոցներում՝ կազմելով հսկայական էլեկտրոնային թափոնների լեռներ, որոնց հետ ոչինչ անել հնարավոր չէ», – բացատրում է Լինչոպինգի համալսարանի ֆիզիկայի, քիմիայի և կենսաբանության ամբիոնի դասախոս Սյուն Սյաոն:
Օպտոէլեկտրոնիկայի պրոֆեսոր Ֆեն Գաոն ընդգծում է նոր արևային տարրերի մշակման ժամանակ վերամշակման հնարավորությունը հաշվի առնելու կարևորությունը. - «Եթե մենք չգիտենք, թե ինչպես վերամշակել դրանք, գուցե դրանք ընդհանրապես արժե չհանել շուկա»:
