Հայ-ադրբեջանական շփման գծում հայտնված «Արևիկը». մի արձանի պատմություն

«Արևիկ» կամ «Մայր Հայաստան» արձանը գտնվում է Տավուշի մարզի Այգեհովիտ գյուղի Կայան թաղամասում՝ ուղիղ հայ-ադրբեջանական պետական սահմանին։ Քանդակագործ Ադիբեկ Գրիգորյանն այս արձանն ստեղծել է 1976 թվականին: Խորհրդային տարիներին արձանն այստեղ կանգնեցվել էր, երբ ադրբեջանցիները նույն տարածքում տարածաշրջանի երեք պետությունները խորհրդանշող մի կոթող էին տեղադրել, որտեղ Ադրբեջանը պատկերված էր իշխող դիրքում հարևան երկու երկրների նկատմամբ: Ի պատասխան՝ տեղական իշխանությունը 1970-ականներին որոշում կայացրեց տեղադրել «Արևիկ» արձանն այնպիսի մի վայրում, որտեղից այն տեսանելի կլիներ ադրբեջանական մոտակա բնակավայրերից:
Ժամանակին Հայաստան այցելող բոլոր հյուրերի համար սիրելի դարձած «Արևիկին» այսօր հնարավոր չէ մոտենալ, քանի որ այն հայտնվել է հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանի հենակետերի արանքում և տարածքն ամբողջությամբ ականապատված է:
17 մետր բարձրությամբ, ալյումինից պատրաստված արձանը խորհրդանշում է հայ կնոջ, հյուրընկալ մոր կերպարը: Արձանը երիզող շրջանակը նման է արևի շողերի, որից էլ, հավանաբար, արձանն ստացել է իր անվանումը։ Քանդակագործը ցանկացել է ցույց տալ, որ մարդիկ գալիս են արևշատ երկիր` հյուրասեր ժողովրդով։
2014 թ․ սեպտեմբերի 29-ին ուժեղ քամու հետևանքով արձանի շրջանակը շրջվել է:
